Job Description
Position Description: The primary responsibilities are the operations and
support of ecommerce, intranet and extranet websites (as well as all related
micro-sites), hosting and all web technologies. In addition, the manager is
responsible for planning, budgeting and executing technology projects related
to the ecommerce, intranet, extranet and other websites or systems as
appropriate, or as directed by the leader of IT. The Manager, Web Technologies
coordinates and resolves support issues and requests presented by the business
community within company related to all supported websites. Must be able to
deliver quality software projects on time, on budget, and within scope They will
also need to collaborate and partner with various teams, i.e.; the Web Team,
Graphics, Customer Service, Buying, Merchandising, etc. This individual will
need to forge connections and build relationships to identify opportunities to:
improve processes, implement tools to better service our customers (internal and
external), and to maximize the growth of our ecommerce business. Must be a
technical leader and a coach, consistently keeping aware of applicability of new
technologies.

Has Contact Primarily With: Web/Ecommerce team, Web Buying, Web Merchandising,
Graphics, Visuals, Advertising, Marketing, Internal Communications, Wholesale,
Finance, and External Vendors
Required Skills
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
· Provide hands on technical leadership and project management for all
aspects of the website development or system implementation for multiple
projects including: research, design, development, analysis, testing, and
delivery
· Provide input into the short and long term IT Strategy to meet
overarching business objectives
· Evaluate and recommend new technology and procedures to increase
productivity, enhance the user experience, improve system operation, and drive
process improvement
· Review project plans and schedules to make sure they are realistic,
that all dependencies and integration points are considered, all critical tasks
are identified, and budgets are reviewed and revised
· Implement all projects in line with established IT project management
methodologies and resources
· Work with Ecommerce, Retail, Sales, IT, other members of the EF
community and our business partners to develop a cross-channel shopping
experience allowing 'integration' of retail/web experience for customers (taking
a web order in-store, processing web returns in-store; etc)
· Manage technical support escalation and vendor coordination for the
web platform supporting the ecommerce, intranet or other web related projects
· Develop, maintain, track and monitor multiple project plans and
produce weekly and monthly status reports
· Develop and maintain schedules of upcoming projects and forecast
resource needs
· Manage issues by notifying appropriate parties and facilitate
resolution expeditiously; escalate to leadership as needed
· Oversee resource allocation to ensure appropriate business and staff
development goals are met
· Coach, mentor and manage the team. Provide timely guidance, feedback,
and reinforcement to develop each individual team member
· Create opportunities for career growth and knowledge expansion within
the team
· Review and evaluate performance (Team/Individual)
· PERFORMS OTHER RELATED DUTIES AND ASSIGNMENTS AS REQUIRED.
Required Experience:
· Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science is required.
· Required Experience The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10
years IT management experience (at least 5 years in software management), with
exposure to developing and supporting ecommerce websites. Function as a team
player and change agent, while fostering a team environment
· Strong written and oral communication skills are necessary, including
proven success collaborating with others with a wide range of technical
knowledge
· Strong project management skills: ability to prioritize among multiple
concurrent projects, scheduling and tracking, experience in translating business
requirements into solutions, creating and executing test plans for implementing
3rd party and in-house developed solutions, developing and reviewing wire frame
prototypes, and web analytics
· Experience developing highly scalable global web solutions, and
complex projects
· Experience with system architectures, Software as a Service (SaaS),
enterprise level architecture patterns (client-server, n-tier, etc), and data
warehousing software
Technical:
· Must be very familiar with: Java, Web Standards (HTML, Javascript,
jQuery, CSS, AJAX, etc), Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle database technologies
· Strong background in PHP application development environment,
experience working with frameworks such as Zend, Code Igniter or Kohana,
understanding of CMS best practices, security requirements such as PCI, DSS,
HIPPA, etc
