Supplier Quality Engineer – Black Belt
Location flexible. Candidate needs to be located by a major U.S. airport due to travel requirements of 80-90%.
Responsibilities include:
• Manage multiple black belt project ranging in value from 200M to over 1MM
• Accountable for 1.5MM in sustainable productivity savings
• Manage JPI contract terms, delivery of JPI commitments
• Communicate regularly to Procurement directors and BU stakeholders
• Prioritize projects and activities according to strategic importance, value contribution and business needs
• Facilitate brainstorming sessions that lead to innovative solutions/concepts around select categories
• Provide sound data analysis that provide reliable accuracy in assessing benefits of category strategies/solutions
• The scope of this work includes that of a Supplier Quality Engineer, developing new suppliers across a global supply chain by leading them in the implementation of programs that strengthen food safety/quality and risk management, and improves supply chain effectiveness. This position drives continuous improvement of business processes through ongoing measurement and evaluation. It looks at business activities in terms of value delivery streams and focuses on process optimization.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree
• Black Belt Certification required
• Procurement or experience working with suppliers
• Min 5 years Project management
• Min 3 years Negotiations/SLA's and Supplier Relationship Management
• Business and relationship savvy
• Data Analysis/Presentation Development (MS Excel, MS Powerpoint)
• Financial Acumen/Analytical capabilities
• Ability to travel 80-90% of the time
