What is working all about, at the end of the day? Are we working ourselves
sick...or could we be working our way into heaven?
On May 21, the third Saturday in May, you are invited to participate in a
mini-retreat at St. Matthias in Somerset, called "This Working Life" - How to
Love Your Work, Reduce Stress, Find Balance, and Discover the Secret to
Happiness.
This program encompasses the entire working life cycle including starting one's
career after school, achieving success, suffering setbacks, changing careers,
starting one's own business, retiring, and reinventing one's self.
Program highlights:
* Reflect upon: Why do we work? How can we find meaning in the work that we do?
Is there a spiritual dimension to work that can help "lift up our eyes" to a
higher purpose in life?
* Listen: As St. Matthias parishioners share their real-life stories of both
the joys and difficulties of work.
* Discover: The work-faith connection in your own life.
Date: Saturday May 21
Time: 9:00 am to 12 noon
Location: St. Matthias Roman Catholic Parish, 170 JFK Blvd, Somerset NJ 08873
Doors open at 8:30 am
All are invited! Walk-ins are always welcomed, but a RSVP is appreciated!
Please register by sending email to smcng@smpo.us
Or call Deacon John Radvanski
at the Parish office. @ 732-828-1400 ext. 130.
On behalf of the St. Matthias Employment Ministry, all are welcome.
We look forward to seeing you on May 21. Remember, in the month of May, we will
not be meeting on the second Saturday.
Peace,
Terry
