Position Summary:
Client is looking for a key contributor, a Principal IT Support
Analyst/Developer, who has a good functional knowledge of the corporate
finance domain, excellent knowledge of the Oracle Financial ERP System
(release 11i & 12) as well as the ability to do some bug fixes/quick
enhancements coding in PL/SQL and Java.
Position Responsibilities Detailed
· Lead the support and maintenance development of highly complex
applications according to business requirements following internal Software
Development Lifecycle.
· Manage the resolution of problem tickets and change requests.
· Analyze system problems and recommend solutions with minimal
assistance.
· Lead efforts in the areas of systems integration, implementation,
software updates, bug fixes, change requests and application support
activities for assigned systems.
· Ensure that system documentation is complete and in accordance
with IT and Corporate policy and guidelines.
· Perform & document unit testing of all code, managed in a source
code controlled environment.
· Act as an IT support/development lead mentoring more junior
employees.
· Document the design and code leading to the production of
exceptionally high quality deliverables (code and documentation), ready for
functional testing by Software Quality Assurance, and later Process
Validation by representatives of the business.
· Provide L3 production support for applications, as a member of
Application Support department, when detailed deep analysis or source code
changes are required.
Required Skills and Competencies:
· Extensive experience with the support and development of Oracle
Financials especially in GL, AR, AP, CE, FA, PO and PA (all Oracle standard
PA modules) on Oracle Version 11i, and Oracle 12.
· Working knowledge of standard financial business processes and/or
system procedures and working knowledge of testing procedures and concepts
are required.
· Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
with a client focused approach to work.
· Ability to mentor more junior staff members, maintaining a
flexible attitude with respect to work assignments and new learning, with
the ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm and
prioritize workload with attention to detail.
· Requires extremely skilled experience in application development
using Java (common frameworks), the development of cross application
communication using Web Services, a good working knowledge of ESB technology
and PL/SQL.
· Solid understanding and working knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley and
GCP regulations and how these apply to application design, development and
testing of applications in the Clinical industry.
· Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or
related discipline desirable.

Position Responsibilities Summary
· Manages the activities related to the design, procurement, testing
and operations in support of server related technical projects.
· Oversees the daily activities of direct reports. Coaches and
mentors staff towards career development.
· Manages, maintains and implements applications/technologies and
associated systems standards.
· Negotiates and establishes vendor business partner relationships
to ensure best pricing and service level delivery.
· Establishes and maintains budgets and associated expenditures
along with acquisition methodologies for assigned applications/technologies,
purchases and maintenance.
· Evaluates and acquires new/upgraded software and hardware
technologies that offer competitive advantages or productivity gains in
delivery of information and system services to the end user computing
community.
· Provides inter and interdepartmental communication concerning all
computing standards and future strategic directions. Sets standards
concerning specific corporate direction in relation to assigned applications
and technologies.

Reports to Manager of Technical Services - Global Infrastructure
Required Skills and Competencies:
· 8+ years Information Technology experience in large data center,
distributed, multi-location, multi-protocol, networked environment.
Candidates must have experience working in an environment of a 1000+ Windows
Servers or very close to this number.
· 5+ years of management experience Need experience managing a
group of 25-30 people Person best suited for this role will have come up
thru a hands-on technical role and can still engage hands-on as needed.
Needs to be hands-on technically in the technologies specified.
· Experience building Windows Based Servers.
· Experience with VMware, Citrix, Active Directory and Clustering.
· Experience with the acquisition and management of technology
including midrange, desktop and other hardware, software and network related
areas.
· Extensive technical experience in current infrastructure
technologies used at the firm. These technologies include, but are not
limited to: Mainframe, Servers, Desktops, Peripherals, Wireless Devices,
Miscellaneous Appliances, Storage Devices, Operating Systems, Utilities,
Monitoring Tools, Software Packages, Networks, etc.
· Experience in current development methodologies, audit and SOX
compliance, security practices, middleware, change management compliance,
database technology, etc.
· Solid understanding of hardware, operating systems and associated
technologies including both current technologies and future trends for
industry strategic hardware and software in the assigned environment.
· Ability to manage and adjust multiple priorities in a fast paced,
rapidly changing environment.
· Ability to rapidly adapt to new technologies and business
requirements.
· Cross platform technical knowledge.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Retail experience preferred but not mandatory.
