Hi,

First of all thank you for being a member and I hope you have found the
group to be helpful.

If you have any suggestions please feel free to email me.

As most of you already know this is a high technology networking group.

Recently, I have been receiving a larger number of non high technology
related job roles for posting. Given the job market and people's need to
find roles, I have been fairly lenient on these.

Going forward if the role does not have a high technology component, please
do not post it. I will start rejecting these at it takes a tremendous amount
of time to review and approve postings.

I hope all of you are well and those of you are in search mode, here's
hoping that you land that ideal role soon.

A few things you can do to help the group and other members:

I would like to see members contribute more to this group.

1). If you run across a role that someone else may be interested in, please
post it to the group as someone may be interested in it.

2). If you read an interesting article on networking, jobs, new funding etc.
that is germane to this group, please post it.

3). When a new member joins, it is a good idea if they post a short
paragraph on who they are and what they are looking for from the group.

4). If someone needs help and you can contribute, please do.

A few things that you can do to help me:

1). If you see one of my job postings that might be a good match for one of
your connections, please refer it to them or refer their information to me.
I am always looking for the very best people for my assignments.

2). I am always looking for additional new recruiting business, so if you
know of someone that is looking for recruiting assistance, I would

Key Responsibilities:

· Work closely with research analysts and portfolio managers to
comprehend the data needs, and data usage.
· Propose and design database solutions.
· Implement database systems based on the solutions proposed and

production environment.
· Support the systems developed.

Required Skills and Competencies:

· 4+ years of experience developing applications with the focus on
data and data access.
· Proven track record building large scale SQL Server databases -

SQL Server 2008 would be a plus.
· Basic familiarity with .NET for stored procedures and SSIS

Required Skills and Competencies:

The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills and proven
ability to design and deliver solutions relevant to complex business

· Four years of .net development experience using C#
· Solid experience with the .Net frameworks version 3.5+
· WPF or WCF is considered a strong plus
· Strong analysis, design and modeling skills
· Strong knowledge and experience with message technologies (e.g.
MSMQ, ActiveMQ)
· Oracle – Middleware - Java backend work a plus

Position Summary

The IT Project Manager supports the IT Program Manager by leading and
managing software project initiatives. A successful candidate has experience
in running software projects in a financial setting and understands
regulatory and compliance requirements and financial asset management
application areas such as trading, portfolio construction and accounting.
Prior experience working in the finance industry is crucial. This is a role
for a senior level contributor who has developed and managed formalized
projects using a structured methodology or approach.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Lead software projects using project management skills and tools.
· Work with IT teams, functional area managers and program
management staff to implement software initiatives.
· Plan and control project scope through a disciplined project
management methodology- both waterfall and agile methods.

Required Skills and Competencies:

· Ability to work with the technical resources and coordinate their

· Function as a leader throughout the project lifecycle

Technologies and tools:

· Experience working with financial services applications preferred,
such as: HiNet, HiPerformance, Axioma, Aegis Barra, trade order management
systems, Reuters/Bloomberg data feeds, Zacks, IBES, FactSet, StatPro,
MarketQA, LatentZero
· Large-scale infrastructure, databases, networks, Web and software
products
· Experience in using project management tools
· Planning and estimation software such as Microsoft Project.
