Opportunity Profile: Project Manager
A well-established investment banking and financial services firm and brokerage
in southern CT has an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong
background in project management coupled with expertise in both IT and
marketing. This individual will:
· work collaboratively with other senior members of the firm to lead the
development of short and long-term technology vision. This will involve
evaluating current systems (i.e., CRM) and key vendors to identify specific
areas of improvement/ development that would impact the firm's business goals.
· Manage technology risk by gaining an understanding of the firm's
systems platforms, critical vendor data dependencies and overall architecture to
minimize downtime.
· Have an active role in determining critical firm initiatives.
· Develop branch relationships to understand business and systems
workflows to drive improved utilization of the firm's desktop technology to
improve the sales process.
· Lead key strategic project management efforts.
Project Management: Initial Areas of Focus
· Website Design, Development and Deployment – function as a day-to-day
project manager working closely with senior management, company personnel and IT
counterparts to develop business and technical requirements that relate directly
to the firm's business objectives.
· Broker recruitment support and on boarding – the success of which is
dependent on the effective integration of expanded product lines, and
implementation of revised commission schedules for equity products, penetrating
of the vendor platform, and establishment of new sales offices.
· Marketing Collateral materials – working closely with outside firms to
create product and marketing information (i.e., brochures, letters, profiles,
etc.).
· Communication and Data Management Initiative with regard to
underwritten deals and the subsequent dissemination to sales personnel and
investors.
The right person will have a proven background in both Information Technology
(working as a liaison between technical and non-technical staff) and marketing
(advertising, branding, and communications) – someone who has strong
documentation and communication skills.

For this position, experience in having worked in a investment banking/brokerage
firm is key to understanding the nuances of the business; therefore, we are
looking for someone with relevant technology and project management experience
in the financial services (brokerage specifically) industry.

We are seeking someone with a strong work ethic, leadership traits, initiative,
the ability to positively and professionally influence others, as well as the
ability to work across the organization forming high energy teams to manage
critical firm initiatives through to completion achieving targeted timeframes.
The person who will be successful in this role will be entrepreneurial,
versatile, prefer a smaller firm to a larger company, able and willing to
embrace change and shifting priorities, have a "can-do" attitude and not be
daunted by taking on new and exciting challenges.
Our preference is for local candidates (tri-state: Connecticut, New Jersey,
New York) – where relocation would not be required.
If this is a strong match for your background and interests – I would like to
hear from you at your earliest possible convenience.
