A leading vendor of Risk Management and Trading solutions for the Commodities Markets is looking for a Sr. QA Analyst/Tester to work across Commodity, Energy and Hedge Accounting Products.
COMMODITIES EXP A BIG PLUS
Job Responsibilities:
Write and execute test cases to verify that software behavior conforms to specifications/requirements.
Log issues identified into the issue tracking system.
Analyze and identify the root cause of anomalies encountered by reviewing log files, Database tables, etc. Work with developers to resolve issues found.
Will interface heavily with Product Management, Business Analysts, Other QA Team Members, Developers and Development Managers to coordinate all testing efforts.
Work with QA Lead to ensure that any client-specific business rules are applied correctly.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Bachelors Degree.
Minimum 3 years as a senior QA/Business Analyst working on large, high-transaction, global financial systems.
Financial/Trading industry knowledge.
Ability to write structured test suites based on business requirements.
Strong analytical skills and an understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the QA Process.
Strong SQL query skills and basic knowledge of data management techniques.
Essential Personality Traits:
Ability to work independently on multiple projects.
Must be a team worker with outstanding communication skills, both oral and written.
Attention to detail.
Ability and desire to work in a fast paced environment.
Excellent work ethic, dependable, and responsible.
Valued but not required:
Knowledge of Test Director.
Knowledge of Automation tools.
Knowledge of J2EE.
Knowledge of UNIX/Linux.
