The Technology Education Coordinator (TEC) is responsible for overseeing Union Settlement's three computer labs, as well as developing and implementing a
training curriculum based on the current and future needs of program participants in the Adult
Education, Senior Services and Youth Services departments, and Union Settlement staff.
Training curriculum and lesson plans will include both basic computer skills (e-mail, internet
navigation, word processing, etc.) and advanced skills (digital arts and filmmaking, HTML
coding and web design, creating spreadsheets, graphic design, etc.).
Responsibilities:
•
Devise and implement a more integrated curriculum, after evaluating the state of technology instruction throughout agency.
•
Develop standardized training curriculum and procedures. •
Overseeing the multiple technology lab areas, including ensuring equipment is in working order.
•
Create and implement tracking tools to capture the effect of curriculum and classroom instruction on students.
•
Assess and document the current state of technology labs. •
Inventory and evaluate existing equipment and software in computer labs. Propose modifications if equipment is not current and/or appropriate for use.

Collaborate with program directors to assess training needs of program participants. •
Provide training to agency staff, including guidance on how technology can be integrated into their programmatic activities.

Identify opportunities for acquiring equipment from outside agencies and/or corporations. •
