Responsibilities:

Hello Ann

Our client, a Global Media company has a contract to hire position for a Sharepoint position in NYC, NY. I have included the job description below. There will be an onsite interview after phone interview.
 
The Collaboration domain within the Global Applications group delivers applications designed to foster collaboration between employees as well as agencies and clients.  The domain has standardized on SharePoint 2007 and related technologies. 
our client has two large-scale SharePoint installations.  The Intranet consists of 3 farms, one in New York, one in London and one in Hong Kong.  The Intranet is currently running on the RTM version of SharePoint, and due to the complexity of some of custom code, and the criticality of the platform, we have elected not to upgrade the platform in place.  We have started a project to refresh the Intranet on Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit, with SharePoint SP2 and the latest cumulative update.  We are looking for someone with experience in building SharePoint farms, deploying custom code into SharePoint, and migrating content from one SharePoint farm to another using industry standard tools such as DocAve by AvePoint.  This project will span multiple operating environments (DEV, UAT, Production).  We will also be building another environment for patch testing and platform upgrades.
The Extranet consists of a single farm hosted in New York.  The farm is running on SharePoint Enterprise SP1.  The content is exposed to external users via ISA Server 2006.  As with the Intranet, we are looking to refresh this environment on Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit, with SharePoint SP2 and the latest cumulative update.  Again,  we are looking for someone with experience in building SharePoint farms, deploying custom code into SharePoint, and migrating content from one SharePoint farm to another using industry standard tools such as DocAve by AvePoint.  This project will span multiple operating environments (DEV, UAT, Production).  The Extranet also hosts a custom-built application called DigiFaces.  This application needs careful attention during migration.
Required skills for these projects include:

SME-level knowledge of SharePoint architecture, with a focus on infrastructure components
Experience deploying custom code and WSP's into SharePoint
Experience deploying and troubleshooting custom web services designed to work in conjunction with SharePoint
Experience with Nintex Workflow
Experience with DocAve migration/content management tools
Experience with InfoPath and Forms Server
Experience with ISA Server 2006
