POSITION TITLE: Process Engineer

 

SPECIFICATION NUMBER:  68804CRI

 

LOCATION: Morristown, New Jersey

 

COMPENSATION:    $80,000 + up to 16% Bonus

 

COMPANY:    Our client is a leader in the Medical Device industry.

 

POSITION SUMMARY

 

This is an opportunity to play a key-role in an aggressive, growth-oriented Company that provides an entrepreneurial work environment in an emerging industry.

 

Direct initiatives and insure they are thoroughly documented in all processes.

 

The candidate will report directly to the Technology Manager.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

·        Education: B.S. in Engineering - Biomedical, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical

·        Work Experience:  5-10 years total professional experience including

o       Plant experience in manufacturing (process engineering, process development, technology transfer, etc.)

o       Experience with direct responsibility for production line operation and/or product line performance

·        Must have ISO experience, cGMP experience in an FDA regulated industry is preferred

 

 

·        Familiarity with printing, converting, and/or web handling is preferred

·        Strong communication skills to interact with manufacturing personnel, vendors, and customers verbally and in writing

·        Experience with creating and executing process validations (IQ,OQ,PQ) is preferred

·        Demonstrates advanced problem solving skills through the use of continuous improvement tools (Six Sigma, TQM, SPC, DOE, LEAN, etc.)

·        Ability to work in a fast-paced and nimble production environment

·        Must be able to manage multiple projects at the same time

·        Ability to apply a disciplined experimental approach to solving production problems using data and current statistical tools

·        Ability to balance marketing, manufacturing, and design requirements to meet internal and external customer expectations

 

 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

·        Responsible for improving yield, throughput, operating efficiency, and reducing costs

·        Continually works to improve plant output without compromising product quality or safety

·        Provide solutions to complex reliability and operational problems

·        Develop technical analysis of the performance of existing processes and process systems

·        Establishing process methods which meet performance and quality requirements

·        Implement process changes that improve product quality and consistency

·        Prepare written reports on findings with recommendations for further work

·        Provide technical input to manufacturing on SOP changes and deviations

·        Participant of the Material Review Board (MRB) and Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) teams

·        Maintain project control and accountability until all project goals are met

·        Statistical analysis of existing or potential manufacturing processes or products

·        Identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives to reduce product cost and lead time

·        Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes and product quality through collection, interpretation, and analysis of data

·        Is familiar with safety and other governing regulations and insures compliance with regulations

·        Supports manufacturing operations on a daily basis by providing guidance, troubleshooting, and technical expertise to resolve process related problems
