I am looking for a Java Developer (forecast). Please note the following:

Job Description            A major Foreign Bank Holding Company is looking for a Java Developer (forecast) in their New York City office.

                                    Main Function

                                    Software developer joining a team of analyst/programmers in the global team to develop and maintain the core functionality
                                    Of the trading platform for Stock Loan traders/salespeople/operatins.

                                    This is a technical position which requires a good background with software development/design.

                                    It's preferred for the candidate to have experience working on large and complex software systems.

                                    The Development team is split into a number of sub-teams that complets units of work for users across the globe.

                                    Main Duties

                                    Would be expected to carry out all steps of the development lifecycle to deliver changes and new features as follows:
                                    Developing base on the business requirements
                                    Unit / system / regression / performance testing those requirements
                                    Reviewing code produced by others
                                    Working with the business representatives during the UAT stage
                                    Supporting the implementation of each new code release
                                    Working with testing team to ensure comprehensive coverage
                                    Trouble shooting production issues as second line of support for global users.

Skills Required              Experience as developer Development of large distributed software systems

                                    Experience with server-side programming

                                    Core Jave skills, experience with Java 5

                                    XML parsing/processing

                                    UNIX/Linux basic skills

                                    Relational databases (e.g. Sybase, Oracle)

                                    Knowledge of basic design patterns – singleton, factory, etc.

                                    Must be able to communicate effectively with other development team members, other project members

                                    Good to have the following:
                                    Spring, JMX, JNDI, Web Services, Groovy, Tibco, EMS , Knowledge of rules engines.

Salary Range                 This is a temporary postion and the daily rate is based on experience.
