Role: Infrastructure Engineer
Required Skills: Must have 5 years experience as a Systems Engineer with at least 2-3 years of experience in each of the skills below.
Technical skills – Experience with data center design and deployment, Storage Area Networks (SAN), data backup and restore technology, redundant and highly available systems, network architecture and implementation, server/network security, business continuity and disaster recovery; experience in designing and maintaining logical and physical representations to support infrastructure design for n-tier architectures. Knowledgeable in distributed systems in an AIX environment.
Program Management skills – communication, planning (schedule development, task analysis, Cost estimation), organizational (task description, commitment process, standards), performing (milestone/control point mgmt, schedule mgmt, status reporting, audits), tools (MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Excellent communications (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
Leadership – Able to perform as engineering lead within major system development; Able to get work done independently and in a team with people having diverse skill-sets.
Application knowledge - Workflow applications, system/network monitoring, PVCS Dimension, IBM WebSphere and Tivoli software products. Experience with contemporary e-business architectures and technologies.
Development experience – Major support system architectural definition, Logical/physical design, COTS customization, software development & testing, software configuration management, software build coordination, release content coordination, and database administration.
Responsibilities:
This role is responsible for translating business requirements into IT infrastructure solution, design infrastructure based on conceptual and logical architecture, establish and configuration manage a series of detailed infrastructure and implementation artifacts for all ACE environments.
Primary Duties include:

3) Work with various stakeholders to identify and define Infrastructure changes required to support the application. Establish environment baselines to support the requirements for Production, future ACE releases, and integration into CBP infrastructure. Modifications could include HW & COTS SW additions or technology refreshes, COTS upgrade and associated application changes.
4) Document requirements as Engineering Artifacts: environment drawings, network configurations, logical and physical operational models, HW/SW mappings, COTS configuration specifications, operational support artifacts
5) Ensure on-time delivery to the users by identifying and resolving infrastructure design dependencies
