Field Application Engineer

Position Summary:
The Engineer should be an experienced support provider. They should have an
established record of accomplishment for providing high quality support to meet
customer requirements. The FAE is expected to manage and control critical
accounts. Following established processes, determine the proper course of
action for customer problem resolution and provide management with status
updates. The FAE is the primary liaison between the customer base and all other
internal contacts. There must be a demonstrated ability to work with other
people as a member of a team.

Duties
and responsibilities:
* Discover, isolate and duplicate problems and develop solutions using software and hardware tools as required.
* Accurately record customer issues and document resolutions.
* Write example applications, tech bulletins and white papers for customers demonstrating and explaining products.
* Identify scope of work, prioritize and ensure completion in a timely fashion.
* Work with Engineering to incorporate changes to products initiated by customer needs.
* Analyze process, procedures and products for Root Cause Analysis.
* Identify opportunities for product improvement.
* Participate in QA testing; develop test suites and documentation review.
* Maintain a thorough understanding and broad knowledge of product information.

Job
Requirements/ Education:
* MS/BS in EE/CS.
* 1-3 years direct technical working experience in the field of computer telephony, strong knowledge of CTI applications.
* Solid understanding of Windows and Linux platforms.
* Solid understanding of IP Telephony Gateways and various signaling protocols including SIP, H.323, etc… (preferred but not required)
· Experience with TDM signaling protocols ISDN, RBS,
etc… (preferred but not required)
· Experience with C / C++
· Written & Verbal communication skills
(Presentation and Public Speaking).
· Excellent documentation and organization skills.
· Proven ability in a technical support field.
§ Excellent diagnostic, troubleshooting and problems
solving skills.
§ Solid customer service orientation and a passion
for excellence.
· Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
· Willing to travel.
· Familiar with ISO 9000.

10 QA Test Developers in King of Prussia PA

We currently have multiple contract to hire opportunities for QA Test Developers at a major company in King of Prussia, PA. Candidates must have hands on testing skills with back end skills preferred. Experience with SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) is a nice plus but not required.


Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with developers to create test plans from functional specifications.
2. Represent QA in design, function requirements, code reviews, and architecture reviews.
3. Review test plans and test scripts across Development and QA
4. Work closely with developers to create and extend unit test cases and share test code.
5. Participate in design reviews and static code inspections.
6. Establish test case design and test strategy for component testing utilizing application interfaces.
7. Work closely with QA Automation and Performance Engineering teams to leverage and share methodologies across QA and Development departments

Qualifications:
Required:
1. Experience or demonstrated knowledge designing and building frameworks that support test development and its application in testing e-Commerce APIs, components, web services, relational databases and content management systems.
2. Strong QA background with an emphasis on structural or white box testing leveraging advanced test design techniques (i.e. control flow, data flow, branch, boundary value analysis, equivalence partitions, negative testing, and edge conditions).
3. Experience with designing and building automation frameworks in support of continuous integration in a test driven development (TDD) or behavior driven development (BDD) environments.
4. Demonstrated knowledge of QA test processes including test planning, development, execution, and results reporting for multiple projects.
5. Strong analytical, problem solving skills and technical troubleshooting.
6. Experience with testing frameworks, continuous integration and build tools (i.e. jUnit, DBUnit, Maven, Bamboo, Ant, JIRA)
7. Experience with Web-based technologies (HTTP, XML).
8. 3+ years of object oriented programming experience (Java, C++, C#) in a commercial application development environment.
9. 3+ years of strong SQL experience (ie: Oracle, SQL Server, mySQL).
10. 3+ years experience with scripting languages (ie: Ruby, Groovy, Python, Perl)
11. 3+ years experience with source code control tools (ie: Subversion).
12. Experience or understanding of architectural principles and frameworks (MVC, Spring, and Hibernate desired).
13. Knowledge of performance and profiling testing highly desired (jProbe, jMeter).
14. Demonstrated knowledge of UNIX servers, commands, environments and tools.
15. Experience with software development lifecycle and agile development methodologies.
16. Experience with Java Mocking frameworks (i.e. JMock) preferred.
17. Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (Quality Center, Bugzilla, etc.)
