Business/Systems Analyst to collect/document business requirements

Posted by: "james lee" leejamesk@yahoo.com   leejamesk

Fri Sep 17, 2010 11:49 am (PDT)

A colleague asked me to help with finding qualified candidates. I am helping screen candidates but do not have any direct influence on interviewing or hiring. I will be submitting resumes to my colleague Wednesday 1pm EST (9/22).

All the information I have is as follows:
Mid-town NYC firm with strong/growing web-services business is seeking an experienced business/systems analyst who can meet with customers to gather business requirements and translate into system requirements. Person needs maturity/capability to communicate with business users, but also be sufficiently technical to define web applications, databases, interfaces, and business process flows/metrics/reports.

My colleague has not defined a salary range, but I suggest it will be in the $50K range, maybe higher depending on experience. This is a salary position.

Please feel free to share.

thanks - James Lee

social media successfully requires engagement. Authenticity. And a
personal touch. Especially if you are engaged in career networking.

Your first impression to others matters. And if your first intro is
generic, so does your relationship begin.

I wrote recently about how (I Am Tired) Of Generic LinkedIn
Requests<http://www.feedblitz.com/t2.asp?/513769/11082756/3892107/http://timsstrategy.com/i-am-tired-of-generic-linkedin-invitations/?utm_source=feedblitz&utm_medium=FeedBlitzEmail&utm_content=513769&utm_campaign=0>.
But I keep getting them so I must have not reached everyone yet.

And the necessary follow-up post is what we are writing today. I say we
because I asked for some help from a few career
experts<http://www.feedblitz.com/t2.asp?/513769/11082756/3892107/http://timsstrategy.com/experts?utm_source=feedblitz&utm_medium=FeedBlitzEmail&utm_content=513769&utm_campaign=0>that
I know and trust. To deliver a variety of ideas of how you can make a
good first impression especially if the invite is going to someone youve
never met.

And someone who may not accept your invitation to connect. Just because you
requested it. Whats your LinkedIn connection
policy<http://www.feedblitz.com/t2.asp?/513769/11082756/3892107/http://timsstrategy.com/on-creating-and-managing-your-linkedin-connection-policy/?utm_source=feedblitz&utm_medium=FeedBlitzEmail&utm_content=513769&utm_campaign=0>
