We currently have a full time permanent opportunity for a Search Product Manager
in King of Prussia, PA.  The Product Manager will identify and execute on
strategies that enhance the value of the company offering to its partner base,
while positioning the company favorably in the marketplace. The successful
candidate will work with a cross functional team in planning, developing and
implementing new initiatives and advancing the company platform. He or she will
be responsible for managing the life cycle of the search products, including the
product planning and market research, development and rollout, communication and
feedback from the partner and consumer base, and the on-going lifecycle
management of the products. The candidate will be responsible for creating and
executing the product roadmap for his/her strategic area of focus.
 
 
Qualifications:
 
The candidate MUST BE an SME IN ON-SITE SEARCH AND/OR KEYWORD BASED SEARCH
PRODUCTS AND CAPABILITIES, preferably in an e-commerce environment.  Familiarity
with open source solutions such as Lucene/Solr/Nutch or commercial solutions
such as Endeca/Autonomy/FAST is highly desirable.
 
The Product Manager will have a successful track record of marketing search
products and services, ideally in the e-commerce space or in a comparable
fast-moving technology category. This person should know how to successfully
rollout products and services, and communicate the rollout strategy internally
and externally. The successful candidate must have a minimum of 1 year
experience in product marketing/management in search products and should have
delivered a minimum of 2 search products to the market as a product manager.
 
The candidate must have the ability to successfully juggle multiple projects and
be effective at influencing a wide range of groups within a company. It is
important that he or she quickly establishes credibility with the internal
technology team, partner account management teams and with external clients. The
candidate must have demonstrated skills in building business cases,
incorporating market data and ROI analysis that will secure approval and funding
from the executive team.
 
This person must be able to convincingly drive product decisions and must be
equally adept at both written and oral communication (proof of ability to drive
product decisions through stakeholder acceptance among sales, marketing,
engineering and executive teams is a must). The successful candidate will be an
effective product team participant, who is expected to drive the product
direction of products after they have been approved.
 
The candidate must possess or have experience in project management and
coordination skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to understand technology
issues and concerns.
 
Finally, enthusiasm, positive attitude, excitement and creativity in delivering
great products to a world class retailer partner base and working with a
dedicated product management team in one of the most exciting industries in the
internet space is always appreciated.
 
 
Responsibilities:
Driving the definition, execution, and marketing communication of search
products identified as competitive positioning opportunities for the company.
- Identifying emerging trends in the company's competitive market (consumer,
retailer, and B2B) and determine effective strategies and products to utilize
those trends for the benefit the company.
- Assuming ownership in the marketing, evolvement, and deployment of existing,
mature search products within the company suite.
- Identifying configuration options of the product that addresses the most
critical needs of the partner base, while providing a streamlined and
cost-effective deployment strategy for partner rollouts.
 
The product manager will need to maintain excellent working relationships with
internal business and technical teams, and establish professional relationships
with company partners and sales prospects and vendors to the organization. He or
she will lead major search product initiatives and serve as an expert liaison to
other groups within the company and externally. The Product Manager will be
responsible for internal and external education of his/her product, including
conducting Webinars, informational sessions, and serving as the subject matter
expert in the guidance of the rollout and adoption of products to the partner
base.
 
In evaluating new opportunities, the company may elect to pursue partnering with
an existing technology provider or vendor. The Product Manager will be
responsible for identifying partnership and vendor opportunities and managing
the RFP process in coordination with the technology team.
 
The Product Manager will be responsible for collaborating with the business
analyst teams and the information architecture teams in delivering to the
technology organization team, clear and complete product requirements. The
product manager will be required to coordinate with the technology team to
ensure the successful implementation and deployment of products consistent with
the company's core business practices and vision.
 
The Product Manager will ultimately be accountable for the timely, budgeted
deployment of the search products. This includes performing competitive
analysis, determining and managing the scope of the product, communicating the
product features and timeline to internal and external business stakeholders,
and collaborating with the technology teams to manage business issues and
priorities to ensure deadline adherence.
 
 
Education:
Quantitative Undergraduate Degree required; MBA Preferred

major company in King of Prussia, PA.  TheTechnical Manager plays a key
technology leadership role in the Accounts services department. They oversee all
development and QA activities across all areas of service offerings for multiple
customers in the portfolio. Drive technical solutions through feasibility,
requirements, design, development, test and deployment. Technical Managers are
skilled at managing the technical risks to project success and driving solutions
through to completion. Responsible for building, coaching and mentoring Accounts
services technical teams including developers and QA. Primary objective is to
become technical counter part of account director to optimize new or existing
customer experience on GSI commerce's e-Commerce platform.
 
Qualifications: 
*  A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is
required
*  Demonstrated past experience leading development with Core Java, JSP and
J2EE technologies.

* Lead a team of JAVA developers, Web developers and Quality Assurance
analysts, and other matrix resources to drive Accounts Services portfolio for

* Assist Accounts Directors in preparing and applying both tactical and

or other similar packaged e-commerce platform is preferred
