Job Description:
Innovar Group has an immediate need for a Data Architect for a valued client in Montvale, New Jersey. This is a full-time permanent position. Position is a key leadership role, with responsibility for creation and development of data architecture, data management standards and policies and implementation of best practices in databases, datawarehouses, data integration and reporting/business intelligence. Leads data driven initiatives per data strategy and provides oversight to project teams in design and development of database and data integration solutions.
· Works closely with senior management and business in synthesizing underlying data requirements both in broader enterprise context and specific business initiatives and objectives.
· Partners with business and technology teams in developing reference data solutions - identifying data owners and in facilitating the design and development of mechanisms to share the data within the enterprise.
· Architects appropriate data integration solutions to meet business and technical requirements of the projects/initiatives balancing short term vs long term objectives.
· Delivers scalable and high performance database design, optimized for business requirements.
· Performs due diligence and recommends appropriate technical environments for database projects.
· Develops, evangelizes and implements standards and principles in the area of data management and more specifically data management.
· Works with XML, XSD and other similar technologies to describe and deliver data driven integration
Qualifications: · Data Architect with 10 or more years experience in architecting and delivering database solutions; At least 5 years experience in Architect / Design Experience in Large Complex Multi-terabyte data environments
· Must have recent hands-on experience in working with Oracle or DB2 databases and associated tools; Oracle 10G and above preferred.
· At least 5 years experience in ETL Application Architecture / Design Experience; a minimum of 2 implementation cycles of ETL Development with leading tools - e.g Data Stage, Informatica etc.
· At least 3 years experience in technical requirements definition, mapping and data modeling experience
· At least 3 years experience in hands-on technology and leadership experience in customer data integration or similar domain.
· 2 years experience in Financial Services / Banking industry preferred.
· Highly motivated, self starter and must be passionate about making a positive impact to business.
· Results driven, challenges status-quo and business value conscious.
