Job Title: Project Manager-I Location: NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ Job Description: Project Manager, Communications / R & D This position's responsibilities include (but are not limited to) 1. Supporting cross-functional and cross-sector expert teams by providing direction and assuring established processes are followed including communication and documentation needs. 2. Managing project management processes (including definition, planning, education, risk management, project control, and change management) to ensure that activities are carried out according to agreed upon governance. 3. Acting as sole project manager for the Independent Review Program and often as the project manager for larger Independent Review projects. 4. Serving in a strategic communications function by supporting internal departments with communications counsel. Responsibilities 1. Support Program Lead and Independent Review leads to deliver relative to project goals 2. Help develop, collect, analyze and maintain metrics for the IR Program. 3. Develop and maintain a Talent Resource database for the IR Program. 4. Help develop and administer tutorials on the IR Program and processes. 5. Aid the IR Program Director to prioritize activities and to respond to internal communications in a timely fashion. 6. Help formulate communication policies and messages to program teams and upper management. 7. Aid in developing PowerPoint decks. 8. Identify project issues and risks and lead development of contingency and risk mitigation plans. 9. Develop, maintain and track detailed program timelines, resource allocation, deliverables and milestones, including critical path dependencies. Qualifications • This roles requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and a least three years of relevant work experience. • Product development experience a plus. • Project Management certification would be an asset to this role. • Strong computer skills mandatory: Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). MS Project and SharePoint would be a plus. • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Must be able to identify the need and implement change while inspiring confidence and enthusiasm within a team environment. • Must be well organized with ability to handle multiple activities simultaneously, as well as work independently in a fast-paced environment. • Must have great interpersonal skills and ability to interact and communicate professionally with all levels within the organization. • Must have exceptional attention to detail with a demonstrated work ethic, integrity and professional conduct. .
