POSITION: Sr. System Administrator

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior System Administrator is responsible for all aspects of system administration in a Windows/Linux/VMware/Equalogics and Cisco environment.

Travel Requirement:

Varies as needed; estimate is 10%.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

General:

· Perform LAN administration on integrated heterogeneous network environment.
· Deploy and maintain primarily Windows based servers with an occasional focus on Linux.
· Management of VMware ESX environment.
· Management of Storage Area Networks (Equalogics)
· Manage server user accounts, files shares, file system, access privileges, and security.
· Perform administration of user accounts on Exchange servers.
· Administration of hardware and software management systems.
· Configure and maintain server and network backup system (Commvault w/tape libraries).
· Provide second and third level telephone and desktop technical support to business and creative units.
· Provide advanced application support for proprietary business software.
· Create and maintain documentation of user and system procedures.
· Create and maintain equipment and software inventory.
· Determine appropriate action by referencing defined operating policies and procedures and using proven approaches.
· Solve routine problems within the scope of duties, using professional concepts and established practices.
· Develop and maintain an understanding of current and proposed technologies relevant to the goals of the company and industry.
· Participate in a team setting to provide business partner / customer solutions.
· Provide feedback to project managers / management on goal / tasks progress and completion.

· Windows 2000/2003/2008 Servers
· VMware (VCP) 3.5+ Certification
· Basic Cisco router, switch and wireless experience
· Apache and IIS web servers
· Microsoft SQL and Linux based DBMS

Title: MEDIA SYSTEMS MANAGER

OVERALL SUMMARY - POSITION DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Director, Business Technology this position manages critical Media Systems such as DDS (Donovan Data Systems), CoreDR (CoreMedia), MediaTools (Workhorse Software), Illuminate (IPS), and others including Digital Campaign management systems, and DDS report and data functions.

The Media Systems Manager serves as liaison with staff regarding these systems, coordinates support and training with vendors, and ensures effective use of the systems. They manage interfaces between these and other systems, and administer new user and security set up for these tools. The Media Systems Manager uses discretion around systems administration and access/security rights. They also serve as the backup to the Finance Systems administrator for Financial Systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, BIT, and Time and Expense systems. The Finance Systems administrator provides reciprocal backup for Media Systems.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Systems Administration:

Manages administration of critical Media Systems for multiple Media business units.
· Builds strong relationships with system providers.
· Coordinates support and training with systems providers.
· Conducts regular status meetings with providers and user representatives.
· Conducts regular assessments of effective usage of systems.
· Manages interfaces between Media Systems and/or other systems.
· Manages report writers (DDS) and data extracts to feed reporting platforms and other applications.
· Serves as DDS Security Administrator, manage User set up and administration.
· Manages DDS Tempo administration and transition to MS Dynamics platform.
· Manages User set up and administration of MediaTools.
· Manages User set up and administration of CoreDR.
· Manages User set up and administration of Illuminate.
· Provides administrative backup for selected Finance Systems.
· Ensures Finance Systems Administrator is appropriately trained to provide administrative backup for Media Systems.

· Builds positive relationships with internal teams.
· Builds positive relationships with clients and vendors.

Business Technology projects:
· Assists with coordination and/or leads Project Management of various Business Technology projects.

· Provides leadership and expertise in assessing Media tools, solutions and workflows.
· Project manages evaluations of new and/or alternative solutions.
· Ensures key data sets are kept accurate and up to date on an ongoing basis.

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

· Bachelor's Degree
· 4-5 years Media Systems support and management experience.
· 1-2 years Project coordination experience.
· Knowledgeable in both digital and offline media planning, buying and billing workflows.
· Experienced in working with and mapping digital and offline media data.
· Expert knowledge of DDS and MediaTools.
· Proficient in MS Office tools (MS Word, PowerPoint, Project).
· Advanced skills in MS Excel (pivot tables, etc.).
· Experience with data management tools a plus. Experience with SQL a plus.
