*Alexandria, Va. -- The U.S. information technology sector gained 7,100
jobs in November and now has gained more than 84,000 jobs since Nov. 2010,
up 2.1%, according to new figures released by the
Alexandria-based*TechServe Alliance,
* a collaboration of IT services firms, clients, consultants and suppliers.
By comparison, overall U.S. job growth was less than 0.1 percent in
November, and is up 1.2% compared with the same time last year. "Despite a
mixed report on the overall jobs market, demand for IT professionals
remains strong," stated Mark Roberts, CEO of the TechServe Alliance. "I
remain very bullish on the prospects for continued growth in 2012 and
anticipate IT employment will surpass its all-time high set back in June
2008."

The Business Systems Consultant develops requirements specifications for all parts of the system, creates and documents the test plan, oversees testing activities, and audits the results. This documentation will be used to analyze and/or confirm system functionality.

Seven (7) years progressive experience analyzing and solving business problems through the development of business applications, including two (2) years experience with multiple applications systems.
- Experience in Agile and Standard Waterfall SDLC processes, as well as requirements gathering, specification development, and authoring of test scripts and release notes.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills are essential, and knowledge of Windows, Excel, Word, and Access, and other relational PC database applications.
- Excellent writing skills to communicate information effectively to customers and technical staff.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Excellent relationship management skills.
- Project or team leadership experience is a plus.
