Senior Software Engineer - (US-NY-New York) Minimum Education: Bachelors Job Type: Full Time Jobcode: ISSJA109 help create a new release of a firm's software services platform. The platform includes client facing programmatic interfaces, common software infrastructure, and user interface infrastructure, and other components. Requirements: - Great problem solving abilities, a commitment to quality, and the drive to ensure goals are met. - A passion for writing software. - A strong desire to learn and share new tools and techniques. - Above average verbal and written communications skills. - Demonstrated expertise in building and maintaining large scale software systems with long lifespans. - Proficient in either C++ or Core Java. Familiarity with both languages required. - Strong Computer Science fundamentals. - Experience in building Internet scale distributed systems or high volume client/server systems required. - Prior experience in program management or project leadership desirable. - Able to work on different platforms or environments. - Candidates who have unique skills such as embedding interpreters or who have created large scale web applications will be preferred. - 5+ years of professional experience. Education: B.S. Computer Science or Computer Engineering at minimum. M.S. or PhD preferred.
