Applications Development Manager for Funds Management Technology / Digital Marketing

* Work with business product owners to lead working sessions, plan releases, elaborate concept, understand scope, gather requirements and develop project management roadmap
* Evaluate existing applications to determine technical changes, schedules projects and resources, and monitors project execution
* Manage a team of geographically distributed analysts and developers responsible for the program's applications development function
* Assume the role of Scrum Master, lead huddles/scrums and standup meetings, resolve blockers and enable teams to deliver effective sprints
* Set and implement policies and procedures related to application quality standards and testing
* Combine project management skills with strong technology analysis and development experience to execute development projects
* Manage development resources both internal and vendor sourced, validate estimates and drive application development to produce quality solutions for the Marketing team
* Develop productive working relationships with business, technology, infrastructure, architecture, and enterprise technology teams that participate in the SELC and ensures coverage of all aspects of application development and delivery

Specific Technical and Business Skills

* Extensive experience in developing and delivering enterprise software is required
* Experience in leading Agile software development, prior experience in the role of Scrum Master is required
* Usage of Agile PM tools such as JIRA, GreenHopper, Mingle, etc.
* Strong applications development experience is required, specifically in Java/J2EE and web technologies
* Lead applications development experience is required, with specific experience in working with onshore and offshore team structure. Provide vendor management and oversight for off-site development services and management of vendors.
* Proven track record of establishing standards and overseeing quality software development utilizing industry standard best practices, sound financial management, project direction and execution
* Proven experience in Java/J2EE/Web Technologies programming working on large and medium scale software projects
* Experience with Source Code management techniques/tools for software management
* Experience with IDE's such as RAD, Eclipse or similar
* Proven skills in using J2EE modules such as JSP, JDBC, and Servlets
* Knowledge of relational databases languages (Sybase or Oracle)
* Thorough knowledge of Agile SELC (Software Engineering Life Cycles)
* Demonstrated teamwork and ability to work with diversity of team location and background
* Experience in developing solutions using Content Management Systems

Other Qualifications

* B.S. (Computer Science preferred), should have proven course work in several computer software, algorithms, data structures, programming languages subject areas
* 5 to 10 years of strong applications development experience is required, specifically in Java/J2EE and web technologies
* 3 to 5 years of lead applications development experience is required, with specific experience in working with onshore and offshore team structure
* Deep technical experience is required, including experience in web-based applications on Windows and UNIX platforms utilizing Java and various thin-client application development frameworks
* Strong organizational skills

*Project Description:* Our Direct Client is looking for a Data Protection
and Storage Operator. This position will be used to handle several

1st level support cases submitted via phone, email, and ticketing system.
Other responsibilities will include intermediate level tasks on both Netapp
and EMC hardware - quota adjustments, lun lookups, etc. Candidate must be
self motivated and willing to take on additional responsibility if required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Perform data restores using Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM)
2. Configure and troubleshoot client agent for TSM - Unix, Windows, Database
3. User and share quota administration for Netapp
4. Monitor storage alerts - escalate and/or address
5. 1st level phone, email, and ticketing system support
6. Basic SYMCLI lookups and verifications
7. Data gathering and reporting
8. Work with vendors to coordinate RMA's on failed components - hard
drives, controllers, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be
able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed
below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

1. 2-3+ years of storage operational experience.
2. Must possess a strong understanding of how enterprise storage interacts
with a variety of Operating Systems and databases.
3. Experience with Tivoli Storage Manager
4. Knowledge of EMC and Netapp systems
5. Proficient understanding of UNIX as it relates to backup/storage
technology
7. Proficient understanding of Windows as it relates to backup/storage
technology
8. Experience with Unix shell scripting (sh, perl, python, etc.)
9. Knowledge of Backup solutions such as EDM, Veritas Netbackup, Legato
Networker
10. Excellent communication and customer service skills
11. Knowledge of EMC Solutions Enabler, Navi/Unisphere
