Department Client Wire Development Department overview The Client Wire Development Department supports and enhances the Client Wire trade processing platform. Position Summary Our client is seeking an experienced Oracle developer to join the Client Wire Development Team. The individual will design, build, unit test and support PL/SQL and Forms modules that are key components of the ClientWire trade processing platform and associated reference data. Duties & accountabilities - Gather and refine functional requirements and translate them to technical specifications.
- Collaborate with key individuals within client to ensure work meets client
- Design, develop, test and maintain Oracle PL/SQL packages
- Modify Oracle schema designs
- Tune Oracle SQL and PL/SQL
- Develop and maintain web-based Oracle Forms applications
Experience Required Mandatory - University graduate or equivalent in a numerical discipline
- Proven experience of developing Oracle database applications using PL/SQL on Oracle 9i or later
- Experience of Oracle relational database design
- Proven experience of requirements analysis
- Proven experience of producing technical design documents
- Experience of using source code control
Preferred - Experience of developing Oracle Forms applications using Oracle Developer 10g or later
- Knowledge of Oracle Designer
- Knowledge of Java and J2EE development, particularly with JDeveloper and ADF
- Experience of Oracle relational and object-relational design
- Familiarity with a Unix environment
