Aldebaran Assocaites has been retained to
identify a Vice President of Research & Development as follows:
* Provides a full pipeline of new menu items for LTOs, permanent additions and regionalization of the menu offerings; maintain integrity of Brand
* Directs the QA function to ensure established quality standards are maintained and through advances in ingredient technology search for quality enhancement opportunities
* Develop R&D strategic plan in coordination with Brand Business Plan requirements; develop and evaluate new technology for restaurant equipment
* Must exude leadership qualities and be highly strategic; minimum 10 years in R&D, 5 of it in the restaurant industry, preferably Fast Food!
* Understanding of multicultural (particularly Hispanic Consumer segment) is highly preferred
* Someone who is an Executive Chef of a large restaurant/hotel chain OR a Research & Development Director or Officer at a food company (like a Kraft, Frito Lay, Nestle)
* Salary range: $160-180K plus bonus; up to 20% travel; Atlanta location

Candidate must possess knowledge of how business applications function from a backend perspective, work with Sybase databases, understand and triage incoming XML and further understand behavior of backend systems.   

Related responsibilities typically include the following:

·Detailed analysis of assigned business requirements
·Distribute business requirements to dependant teams and coordinate review process and inspection
·Coordinate with Technical Leads as required to architect new platform requirements
·Provide estimates to business stakeholders with efforts and timelines
·Coordinate delivery of project components from various technical teams
·Generate and manage a project level plan with defined interdependencies
·Provide technical continuity and expertise in the end to end application architectural components
·Coordinate, troubleshoot and own pre and post production issues reported under delivery and warranty
·Coordinate with Quality Assurance team during QA processes and defect repair
·Provide daily / weekly / Monthly status to business stakeholders as required and determined during the delivery lifecycle        
·Contribute to and monitor platform foundation component improvement recommendations (i.e. Multi-lingual support)
·Schedule and facilitate code reviews for the application development team related to assigned projects
•Perform related duties as assigned or requested

On May 21, Barbara Newman will present proven tips and techniques for
preparing for and for participating in phone interviews. You�ll have
the opportunity to ask questions (of the speaker and fellow
participants), and a chance to practice these skills and get feedback
on how to excel in phone interviews.

Barbara Kaplan Newman is the Founder of Beacon HR, LLC ( www.BeaconHRLLC.com
), which provides Human Resources services to companies that are
starting, building, restructuring or professionalizing their HR
function. Before founding Beacon HR in late 2005, Ms. Newman had more
than 25 years� corporate experience as an HR business partner,
designing and implementing HR solutions for start-ups and established
firms of all sizes -- from very large to very small. She has been
awarded the SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) designation
by the Human Resource Certification Institute and holds Bachelor�s,
MBA and JD degrees from Rutgers University.

Barbara has solid experience: as a hiring manager, as an employment
interviewer, as a mentor/resource to job seekers, and as a job seeker
