| | PRIMARY FUNCTION
The RxBP role is a dynamic combination of behind the counter pharmacist skills and field management leadership skills. The expectation is that the RXBP spends 60% of the time covering pharmacist shifts and 40% of the time: Ensuring our new pharmacies open efficiently, ensuring our new and existing pharmacists receive great training, and focusing on bottom quartile pharmacies to improve operations, drive service and improve profitability. Time allocation may vary based on business conditions as determined by the Group Pharmacy Leader
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Covers pharmacist shifts where needed with a primary focus on pharmacies not meeting operational standards.
- Performs the duties necessary to ensure that new pharmacies open efficiently, including: Submitting new PIC information to licensing coordinator, setting up board of pharmacy inspections, communicating crucial timelines to new store pharmacists and ensuring that new stores open with fully trained pharmacy teams.
- Ensures that new hire pharmacists receive great training: Primary partner to Business College Coordinator to help set up training, assigns and provides training for district training sites, follows up with new hire pharmacists after 30 days in position to evaluate training and provide support.
- Ensures that all pharmacists are trained and are executing new rollouts and best practices. This includes educating STL and DTL partners to ensure follow up and great execution and conducting classroom training (where designated).
- Acts as a liaison between stores and HQ Pharmacy Store Operations team which includes: Following up on TM suggestions sent via e-support, providing recommendations to Store Operations Team and participating on monthly Store Ops conference call.
- Strategically conducts store visits. This includes: Working with GPL and utilizing reporting tools to plan visits in bottom quartile pharmacies, working with schedulers to ensure that shifts are worked in yellow and red pharmacies, working with STLs to teach and train to ensure great follow up and communicating focus areas to DTL partners.
- Float teams in the districts assigned will report to the RxBP. RxBPs will be a part of the float team selection and development process.
- Execution of acquisitions.
REPORTING/WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports directly to the GPL. Supports DTL, STL and Pharmacy Teams. Works closely with GPL to drive pharmacy business strategy.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: - B.S. Pharmacy
- Active Pharmacist license in good standing in state of practice (NJ and NY)
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Exceptional knowledge of Target Pharmacy Best Practices
DESIRED REQUIREMENTS: - One or two years of experience as a pharmacist
- Previous management experience in pharmacy
