Project Manager (PMO), New York - Contract Assignment
Description Program Management Office (PMO) manages a portfolio of Prime Services Group projects related to improving our support and testing capabilities. This is done specifically through (a) the delivery of the projects, (b) the continuous assessment, review and improvement of our project management practices. In addition to project management responsibilities, the PMO position will be responsible for tracking and reporting of financials and the generation of PSG reporting packs. MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES PM executes at project level project management tasks including, but not exclusively: o Initiation o Planning o Execution o Monitoring and Reporting Ensure compliance to Firm's project management standards including GSDP and SDLC+. Relationship building, communication, coordination and management of workstream SMEs and BAs Assessments of processes, tools, and techniques used in the project life cycle Assist project workstream resources as necessary. Qualifications Essential: Project Management using a recognized methodology like PMI or Prince2 Proficiency in Microsoft toolset including MS Project, Excel, Powerpoint Understanding `waterfall` and iterative development lifecycles for IT systems Familiarity with Issue / Defects/ Risk Management tools Group facilitation skills 5-10 years as Project Manager or Project Support in financial services industries using a structured dev life cycle Desirable: PM for IT Application development in a major investment bank; requirements, designs, building and testing. Basic business understanding of our production environments and businesses Experience in best practice environments Project Management: Concepts and techniques Familiarity with process of engineering Requirements Familiarity with Product and Process Quality Assurance and Quality Control Working knowledge of Mercury Quality Center or other issue/defect tracking tools Some familiarity with Process improvement methodologies like 6-Sigma Lean Sigma, CMMi etc.

Description: . Global Regulatory IT manages all Regulatory applications and is part of the Corporate Systems division . Basel II Capital Reform initiated by the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision has fundamentally overhauled the minimal capital requirement approach. . The Strategic Regulatory platform has been established to develop an infrastructure to accommodate multi-regulator capital requirements under Basel I and II rules and to consolidate the Controllers - Global Regulatory (GRG) group's additional regulatory reporting processes. . Create US GAAP. Source data from strategic sources (where possible) and other controller's systems. Create a global data repository with supporting functionality. The approach is to construct a global regulatory data repository, calculation engine and reporting data warehouse & Extend the system to comply with local regulatory requirements e.g. UK. Create a single MIS and compliance environment with reporting tools and architecture. Create a single rule-based generic capital engine to apply both Basel I and Basel II rules IFRS compliant trial balance that reconciles to books and records & US regulatory requirements . This candidate will be interviewing to fill the TFI project within the regulatory space.
