Below is the job description to which I am referring for a current job opening located in Somerset, NJ:
IT BA
6 Month + contract
Location: Somerset, NJ
Key Responsibilities include:
Assists in collecting and organizing information required for the preparation of all training materials such as user's manuals, training guides, and/or multimedia products for end-users of the investments portfolio systems.
Researches, analyzes, writes, edits, and proofreads all training materials or sections of training materials in preparation for all contract training deliverables.
Serve as additional sources of knowledge to capture customer requirements in meetings.
Meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Research and document investments portfolio system features and functionality.
Ensure training documentation is accurate, complete, meets editorial and government specifications, and adheres to standards for quality, graphics, coverage, format, and style.
Participate in establishing style guidelines and standards for text and illustrations.
As needed, attend meetings to determine software requirements; and write system requirement specifications, software specifications, end user documentation, and any other required documentation as part of the contract deliverable.
Utilize a working understanding of systems analysis and design concepts
Provide documentation support that will include, analyzing user needs to determine functional requirements, updating and maintaining existing technical application documentation, and determining any new system documentation required to meet the projects requirements.
Experience developing and publishing application software development documentation involving investents portfolio management. Strong writing background and oral communication skills. Word, PowerPoint, Excel. Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle. Demonstrated experience in capturing customer requirements in meetings. Familiarity with style guidelines and standards for text and illustrations. Will write system requirement specifications, software specifications, end user documentation.

Must have:
Broad knowledge of all major security types and asset classes, as well as experience with accounting reporting and management reporting.
Financial Market experience of 5-8 years preferred. CFA or similar designation, or working toward that designation is a plus.
Experience with computer systems, including database and Microsoft office tools, particularly MS Excel and MS Access.
Good to have skill:
Additionally, experience with industry accounting systems (PAM, Camera) and Trade Capture Systems (Bloomberg PTS, Charles River) are also key value adds for this position.

Title: Business Analyst - Capital Market, risk management and order management
Location: New York
Duration: 6+ Months
Must have:
6 + experience with IT and business management in Financial Services with special focus on risk management and order management.
Skills and prior experience in leading testing efforts of compliance, trading and security operations.
Experience in defining business requirements for Compliance applications (Charles River or Bloomberg compliance systems experience would be a benefit)
Ensure that the compliance rule built in the Compliance monitoring tool is consistent with the pseudo code.
Validate that the data elements retrieved for the compliance tests are as per the firm's data dictionary, and are available and accurate.
o Prepare test cases for each compliance test.
o Document test scenarios, test results, and defects.
o Prepare status reports for senior management.
o Collaboratively work with Compliance and IT teams to test the rules and obtain sign off to promote to production.
o Assist IT team with production migration.
