SUMMARY:

We are seeking a senior level Storage Area Network professional for a prestigious financial institution in Philadelphia. This senior level position will be responsible for architecting, maintaining and providing ongoing support for the storage environment, including SAN and Backup / Recovery, provisioning of storage resources including storage mirroring, provisioning of fabric resources including cabling and zoning, problem identification and resolution of the SAN storage and fabric. The ideal candidate will be the Subject Matter Expert on SAN technology. This position requires excellent technical skills and proven attention to details, process, and discipline within a production environment. Strongly prefer candidates coming from a financial services background or a combination of financial and vendor experience with EMC and Hitachi experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Provides comprehensive designs to address the company's strategic direction for Storage platforms; evaluates emerging technologies; implements systems/architectures based on best practices; ensures system integrity with regards to security and compliance guidelines.
* Develops activity plans, time and resource estimates; and cost benefit analyses for planned activities. Ensures that changes and enhancements are carried out properly and on a timely basis.
* Manages multiple priorities effectively. Maintains clear and efficient communications with management and customers. Provides guidance and mentoring to peers. Prepares presentations on technical subject matter for senior management.
* Works closely with development, network, and support teams in implementation of storage infrastructure components supporting emerging technologies and applications.
* Responds to issue escalation and service interruption as a confident technical leader. Assume technical leadership role in problem resolution and root cause analysis. Provide actionable after-incident analysis to ensure root cause issues are logged and remediated.
* Prepares activity and progress reports for projects ensuring issues are properly escalated and resolved to maintain delivery schedule, project cost, and desired results.
* Manage 3rd party vendors and Service Level Agreements. Maintain industry contacts to stay current with technology

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
* 7 - 10 years of experience working with backup/storage/SAN/NAS technologies.
* 7 - 10 years experience with design, implementation, and management of SAN/NAS and tiered storage architectures
* Must have experience with complex data center upgrades and moves
* Experienced, highly technical, and motivated individual, capable of designing and managing SAN, NAS and Backup/Recovery environment.
* Extensive experience in the configuration, design and implementation of networked storage topologies; i.e., SAN,NAS, iSCSI, FCoE, from leading manufactures.
* Knowledge of RAID, I/O subsystems, networking technologies, HBA, CNA
* Troubleshooting storage and backup, recovery and archiving
* Clear and efficient communications both with technical peers and management.
* Demonstrated mentoring experience to ensure that designs are executed upon and supported appropriately.
Required education:
* Bachelors Degree
Required skills/competencies:
* Commvault Administration and Engineering
* Implementation of enterprise wide storage solutions, modification to existing storage configurations, and evaluating new storage technologies.
* Expert knowledge of Storage Technologies such as HDS, EMC, SAN, NAS, Performance monitoring and tuning.
* Experience with Tiered Storage, Virtual Storage, Virtual Tape, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery strategies.
* Experience with virtualization solutions VMWare.
* Functional knowledge of core Networking
* Regimented change and release management methodology. Security and Patch updates to follow the firm's change management procedures and a patch release schedule
* Leads technology and product general assessments, detailed evaluations, and final selections.
* Leads system performance diagnosis and scalability assessment activities.
* Experience with current best practices in IT standards, principles, and security practices
* Knowledge around MS SQL 2005, Double-Take and Virtualization technologies a plus
* Excellent technical documentation skills

JOB TITLE: Network Engineer

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Participates in broad range of network planning, architecture design, engineering, operational and change management activities related to the firm's data center and distributed infrastructure. Assists in the planning, forecasting, implementation, and identification of resource requirements for network systems. Applies a broad range of skills and experience to work independently and as part of a team to maintain the highest levels of network availability and performance.

PERSONAL CONTACTS:
Works independently or as a part of a team under general supervision. Works on projects and systems of medium to high complexity. May coach more junior technical staff.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
*Maintain, update and design QoS requirements for voice/video and priority applications.
*Monitors and maintains the hardware and software for the Firm's network infrastructure.
*Monitors protocol compatibility, performs system tuning, and makes recommendations for improvement.
*Assists in the design of the network architecture, design of network infrastructure, and plans and designs
LAN/WAN/wireless solutions.
*Performs network problem resolution and assists in the development and documentation of technical standards and interface applications.
*Provides Tier II support for end-users.
*Integrates and schematically depicts communication architectures, topologies, hardware, software, transmission and signaling links and protocols into complete network configurations.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
*Knowledge of capacity and resource planning, network risk assessment, and contingency planning.
*Knowledge of network security issues and methods for addressing them
*Experience with Security/802.1x.
*Experience with Active Directory management including LDAP lookups, DFS topology, Windows 2003/2008, Exchange 2003/2007 and NAS/SAN.
*Ability to research, analyze, and implement software patches or hardware changes as needed.
*Knowledge of the following technologies and protocols: VPN/SSL VPN, General Network Design, General Network Security, TCP/IP, OSI model, network topology and design considerations including LAN/WAN technologies such as MPLS.
*Knowledge of the following technologies and protocols: AD, BGP/EIGRP/OSPF, Windows OS, Cisco IOS, HP Server Hardware, SAN/NAS, Firewall Administration (preferably Cisco ASA), Radius, 802.x protocols

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

The Role – Corporate Controller – Latin America

The Corporate Controller, Latin America will be responsible to the SVP and Controller Americas, for financial control, policy compliance, and to ensure consistency of accounting across all businesses in Latin America. In addition to ensuring control, the primary responsibilities will be for focus on balance sheet management and items which impact the P&L beyond operating income (i.e. tax, treasury etc).

The Controller Latin America will also co-ordinate financial issues across business units and work with local and group financial management for improved processes and co-ordination of key regional financial issues.

Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is required.

Specific Responsibilities

Provide guidance and oversight on accounting and other financial issues relating to acquisitions, including the efficient structure of the transaction, intangible valuation, reviews of opening accounting and impairment, and "post mortem" reviews.

Accounting Oversight

To ensure proper accounting and reporting of key business activities and investments, including but not confined to, leases, advances, reserve for returns, provision for bad debts and revenue recognition. Ensure consistency of treatment between units in the Region.

Tax and Treasury

Working with Group tax and treasury staff, assist in the development of appropriate legal and financial structure to support tax and treasury activity in the region.

Financial and accounting policies and procedures

Ensure implementation of group financial policies and those relating to local finance issues.

Balance sheet management

Conduct periodic balance sheet reviews of local businesses in conjunction with local finance management.

Audit, compliance and control

Liaison with group control on internal audit activity including follow up of particular issues, raised in periodic internal audit reports as well as with external audit on any areas of their concern within legal entities.

Finance and Operations

Understand entity level business activity and assess ongoing funding requirements, capitalisation of entities, dividend policy, scope for rationalisation of legal entities (within and between Businesses) and adequacy of cost management.

Improved regional efficiencies

Facilitate local inter-company co-operation and co-ordination, and propose areas for sharing of services between businesses across the Region

The role will include a significant amount of travel and the person engaged would have a strong financial background with good analytical skills; some knowledge of Latin American markets; knowledge of the Companies financial processes and good influencing and communication skills. In addition to working closely with the Controller Americas, there will be a need to work with business controllers and business managers in the region, the SVP Finance for the region and other members of the US Controllers Group and Corporate finance activities.
