JOB DESCRIPTION:
Description
This contracted Global IT Project Manager role will be responsible for leading
the deployment of the electronic workflow management and digital asset
management system (COCOON) all Global Business Units. This system is leveraged
by the creative design, packaging engineering, and design project management
teams as part of the Global Strategic Design Office (GSDO). The Global IT PM
will need to proactively work with the appropriate vendors, deployment IT Leads
in each of the regions, and with the client technical organizations to ensure
that objectives are met, on-time, on-budget and on-quality, per SDLC 3.0
guidelines. Regular communication and status meetings with all levels of the
organization will be necessary.
The role requires knowledge of theDesign Lifecycle Management functions, with
clear understanding of inputs and outputs to other functional areas (i.e. R&D,
QA, Supply Chain, and Sourcing). The PM will need to understand the Consumer
Package Goods industry landscape and requirements to be able to provide subject
matter and change management expertise working directly with business partners,
vendors, and other client technical organizations. The GBUs supported include
Consumer Healthcare, OTC, Beauty, and Baby. Each GBU is responsible worldwide
for one or more global franchises (e.g. Sanpro, Reach, oral care, wound care,
smoking cessation). Brands include: Tylenol, Listerine, Imodium, Purell,
Sudafed, Bengay, Clean & Clear, Johnson's Baby, Band-Aid, Neutrogena, etc.
Qualifications
Requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree. Candidates who possess an advanced
degree are preferred. This position will require a minimum of 7 years experience
with project management of software validation in GxP regulated environments.
Experience implementing Global process/systems is required, minimally across two
global regions (NA, EMEA, ASPAC, LATAM). Candidates are required to possess a
demonstrated working knowledge of core application development principles and
methodologies. This role requires tailoring communication to all levels of the
organization.
Candidates who possess hands-on experience supporting design/packaging
engineering/project management groups are preferred. A working knowledge of the
FDA and its processes are preferred. Candidates with a demonstrated ability to
lead a team and manage work in accordance with full system lifecycle (SDLC 3.0)
from concept to production deployment are preferred. Experience with Business
Process Modeling, and with leading substantial change management resulting from
process and system changes is preferred This position will be based in Skillman,
NJ, but may require working in New York City for the Neutrogena Cosmetics
portion of the project.

⢠Drive contracting process from initial request of budget through execution of
contractual document to include updating contract tracking database and managing
change order process as necessary.
⢠May be responsible for leading cross-functional, multi-operating company teams
through a comprehensive sourcing process.
⢠Provide advice to business partners and others within Pharmaceutical related
to signed agreements.
⢠Must be able to develop interdependent partnerships with other sourcing and
procurement groups, including but not limited to Finance.
⢠Identify and select appropriate suppliers following departmental processes and
manage specific external service provider (ESP) relationship(s).
⢠Demonstrate value contribution through negotiated savings, competitive
bidding, cycle times, etc.
⢠Manage relationships with internal business partners as well as ESPs.
⢠Lead/conduct contract negotiations on terms and conditions of high-risk,
complex, and potentially long-term agreements, and escalate specific points of
contention on legal issues to appropriate legal staff.
⢠Work with Pharmaceutical Law department as necessary to review, analyze,
negotiate and advise business partners on contractual terms and conditions in
order to reach acceptable language.
⢠Must have knowledge of drug development and experience in outsourcing clinical
trial services, pre-clinical services and/or supplies to include the review and
negotiation of budgets, scopes of work and contracts with suppliers such as
Contract Research Organizations (CRO), central laboratories, etc.
⢠Able to work independently as well as in a team environment and to make
decisions based on analysis of supplier proposals and in partnership with
internal business customers.
⢠Able to demonstrate creative ways to avoid/solve problems in order to manage
the supplier relationship and not compromise any on-going study.
⢠Must be able to participate in the creation of high functioning interdependent
partnerships with other sourcing and procurement groups, finance as well as
internal project teams on an as needed basis.
⢠Must be able to work effectively in a matrixed environment while supporting
specific teams and/or projects for business partners.
⢠Must demonstrate capability to be nimble and adapt to customer needs while
balancing business priorities.
⢠Must be able to present/interface to/with Senior Management.
⢠Independently negotiate multiple complex situations (contracts, change orders,
issue escalation).
⢠Handle multiple high profile compound teams/projects.
⢠Must be able to read reports (press releases), determine impact to business
and respond.
⢠Must possess global experience.
Must have demonstrated negotiating experience. Depending upon level would prefer
anywhere from 5-10 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry; drug
development and procurement experience. Experience as a user or provider of
outsourced services. Knowledge of pharmaceutical R& process, GLPs, GMPs or GCPs
desirable. For international candidates, a fluency in English (written and

10-15 years experience, with at least 5 years procurement experience; direct
knowledge of pharma industry and demonstrated experience in complex
negotiations.
Experience with contract research organizations as either a provider or user of
services.
Required: Bachelors degree in a life science or business; additionally MBA, or
