JOB DESCRIPTION

Will be responsible for all aspects of Desktop Hardware Engineering including: Hardware architecture, Peripheral integration. Will also work with client business units and peers to ensure that the hardware meets the needs of the business. Responsible for Operating system integration and developing a global image. Must have a strong knowledge of the MS Operating System ranging from Windows XP through Windows 7. This role will include developing a Global architecture for PC's at the Operating System level. Will be responsible for documenting and recommending Policies for Active Directory as they pertain to Windows 7.

Should have at least 5 years experience in Desktop Engineering and application packaging. have Bachelors degree required.

Skills

Strong knowledge of the following areas:
-MS Operating System ranging from Windows XP through Windows 7.
-Windows Advanced Installation Kit.
- ImageX and other imaging technologies.
-WinTel based PC hardware.
- Microsoft Active Directory architecture and the role of Group Policies.

Good organizational skills.

JOB DESCRIPTON

This candidate will be responsible for all aspects of Desktop Hardware Engineering including: Hardware architecture, Peripheral integration and development of future global hardware standards. The candidate will also be required to manage the lifecycle of the HP laptops and desktops and Apple MAC platforms. The candidate will also work with client business units and peers to ensure that the hardware meets the needs of the business.

This candidate will also be responsible for Operating system integration and developing and maintaining the global image catalog. This candidate must have a strong knowledge of the MS Operating System ranging from Windows XP through Windows 7. This role will include developing the Global architecture for PC's at the Operating System level.

The ideal candidate will also be responsible for maintaining the Global distributed Technologies Lab infrastructure. Creating a check in check out process for lab machines needed during UAT and Engineering efforts. A working knowledge of Virtual machine technologies is a must. The candidate will be responsible for tracking lab assets and making sure the lab is available at all times.

The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years experience in Desktop Engineering and application packaging. This candidate should also have completed a Bachelors degree program.

SKILLS
Strong knowledge in the following areas:

-MS Operating System ranging from Windows XP through Windows 7.
-Windows Advanced Installation Kit. (WAIK)
- ImageX and other imaging technologies.
- WinTel based PC hardware.
- Application packaging methodologies and virtualization.
- Apple Hardware and Operating Systems.

Working knowledge
-Virtual machine technologies. Systems Center Configuration Manager 2007 and OSD.
-Good presentation and organizational and personal skills and able to interact with peers and management.
- Knowledge of application virtualization.
