The Executive Director will have full-time on site responsibility for the effective and successful implementation of the new Enterprise System. This is a non-tenured, management appointment with eligibility for reappointment on an annual basis during the term of the implementation.

Enterprise Systems Implementation, which is called the Bell Tower Initiative (BTI) project, will replace the current MSU financial, budget, human resources, and student administrative applications with the Oracle/PeopleSoft suite of products. · Contract Administration - Serve as the primary contact with one or more software, hardware and consulting vendors for the project. Project oversight will include activities such as change management, status meetings with vendors, budget controls and consultant and contractor performance monitoring.
· Communications with Communities of Interest on Overall Implementation - Frequent communications with the Executive Steering Committee for the Bell Tower Initiative, meetings with the President and the President's Cabinet, as well as with other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate communication.
· Assure Appropriate Participation in Effective Operations - Ensure appropriate planning to address staff training needs and correctly integrate all facets to take each project phase from implementation to production.

Qualifications & Requirements: The successful candidate must have an earned bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with higher education experience; verifiable success managing large PeopleSoft ERP projects, complex, technology implementation projects with contracts, vendors and organizations; in-depth knowledge of business process re-engineering concepts, best practices and applications; proven ability to manage highly complex situations and relationships; demonstrated project leadership, contract change control and project management skills; effective interpersonal and organizational communication skills; results orientation; and a minimum of five years progressive experience directly applicable to the position.
Advanced degree and Project Management Professional (PMP) credential preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: The successful candidate must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities. It is strongly recommended that applicants for this position address each of the following items in their letter of application:
Knowledge: Knowledge of leading ERP technology products in general and the PeopleSoft suite of ERP applications in particular; business process re-engineering concepts and application.

Skills: Ability to manage highly complex situations in a rapidly changing environment and relationships with multiple constituencies; strong contract and project skills.

Abilities: Effective interpersonal and leadership skills; results orientation; demonstrated success in management of large, complex technology implementation projects with contracts, vendors and organizations; ability to orchestrate collaboration among institutional teams and stakeholders.

TO APPLY: The application process will be handled through Montclair State University's Division of Human Resources. Application materials must include a current resume, detailed cover letter, and names, addresses, and telephone numbers of three professional references authorized for contact. Applicants should fully describe qualifications and experience since the initial review will serve to evaluate applicants based on documented, relevant qualifications and professional work experience. Review of materials will begin immediately.
