Strong verbal and written communication
High proficiency with full MS Office suite.

Seeking a self-motivated and seasoned Systems Support Administrator prepared to add ... value to our IT department.

The primary function of our department includes but are not limited to designing, implementing, and providing daily operational support to a global company. This includes support of the physical data center, including all of the server hardware and software as well as desktop support.

- 24X7 on-call technical support on a rotation basis experience

Knowledge and experience in the following is required: (5 & 4)

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Active Directory 2003/2008 - (DFS, Group Policy, etc.)

- Windows 2000/2003/2008 - (Administration, Clustering, WINS, troubleshooting, IIS, DHCP, DNS/WINS, etc.)

- Exchange 2003/2007/2010

- Knowledge of Cisco equipment - (switches, routers, firewalls, etc.)

- Dell and HP server hardware maintenance experience

- Data Storage (EMC) management experience

- 24x7 on-call technical support experience

- Must be able to lift 35 lb.

Knowledge and experience in the following is a plus: (3)

- Scripting skills - (VBS, Powershell, etc.)

- Symantec Enterprise Vault

- Symantec/Veritas Backup Exec

- Knowledge of java-based trading system software - (JTrader, Barx, M-Trade Pro, etc.)

- VMWare VSphere

- Citrix Technologies - (XenApp, XenDesktop, etc.)

- Data Feed software â€" (Reuters, Bloomberg, CQG, Future Source)

Familiarity with the following concepts, procedures and/or software: (2 & 1)

- Change management procedures

- Purchase order creation

- MS SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 backups and queries

- Wireless/VPN implementation

- Sharepoint 2007/2010 administration

- RMS or equivalent rights management systems implementation and reporting

- Hyper-V

• Expert technical role. Defines system architecture and design for the enterprise around email. Works on multiple projects as a project leader or as the subject matter expert. Works on projects and issues of high complexity that require in-depth knowledge across multiple technical areas and business segments. Coaches and mentors junior technical staff.
• Participates in the design and architecture of all aspects of the firm's data electronic communications environment, with emphasis on Microsoft Exchange 2007/2010 and complementary technologies, such as disclaimer programs and email archiving systems.
• Monitors the firm’s systems proactively using enterprise tools and expert analysis. Researches and recommends new technologies to ensure stability and uptime.
• Windows 2003/2008 administration, including DNS, WINS, DHCP, DFS, Active Directory, user account/group management, file and directory permissions; service pack application, monitoring servers/services for failures and resource consumption
• VMWare and Enterprise level storage - Administration, configuration, management and monitoring.
• Highly available environment experience. Ex.: Exchange 2007 CCR clusters, Exchange 2010 DAGs, VMWare HA/DRS, BES clustering, etc.
• Maintains up-to-date documentation of all procedures and resolutions.
• Participates in DR planning.

Requirements:
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 8-10 years experience in a Windows enterprise server environment.
• Expert level experience with Microsoft Exchange 2007/2010 and Active Directory 2008.
• Intimate knowledge of Exchange add-ons and third party product integration.
• Strong Citrix XenApp skills are a huge plus.
• VB Scripting/batch command knowledge is a plus.
• Experience working VMWare ESX 4.x hosts and virtual environments.
• Experience working VMWare Site Recovery Manager (SRM) is a plus.
• Experience with storage solutions (EMC experience is a plus).
• Experience working in a high availability, global environment with 600+ servers across 12 locations.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Strong team skills.
