Director Strategic Relationship Management

OVERALL SUMMARY
Reporting to the Vice President Business Initiatives & Services, this position
oversees strategic technology vendor management and collaborative technology
sourcing. The individual must be able to diplomatically influence stakeholders
from the most senior to junior levels—both internally and externally—to drive
projects to completion. In addition to the responsibilities outlined below, this
position will lead, coach, and train a staff of six to perform strategic vendor
relationship management, RFX, SOW, and administrative functions. The successful
candidate will have a deep understanding of vendor management, project
management, supply chain best practices, and have a track record of successful
project launches.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• With guidance from Leadership, manage technology vendor strategy.
• Review strategic vendor solicitations and provide detailed business
requirements and strategic direction for RFXs and bids. Manage RFX process from
authoring the technical briefs and requirements documents to execution and bid
analyses, scoring and vendor selection, ensuring multiple stakeholder's needs
are addressed and met.

• Review and track strategic technology SOW's ensuring they compliment the
agreements in place and ensuring completeness and clarity of the terms overall.

• Indentify project risks and make recommendations to mitigate or eliminate such
risks.

• Assist in identification, development, and implementation of best practice
documentation of policies and processes.

• Represent technology group on assigned cross-divisional teams to develop
vendor and contract strategies and business alliances that maximize value.

• Track and report KPIs for strategic technology vendors as they relate to
negotiated SLAs.

• Provide guidance to internal business teams on corporate goals and objectives
related to strategic vendor activity.

• Liaise with multiple teams to ensure vendor compliance with agreements in
place, ensuring SOW compliance upon execution, e.g., deposit of source code to
escrow, receipt of insurance certificate, renewals of escrow and insurance.

REQUIREMENTS
• 8+ years related experience in vendor selection and vendor management as well
as in the development, negotiation and administration of SOW's, preferably in a
media or technology industry.

• Effectively communicate risk/reward measurements associated with varying
approaches to problem solving including addressing key stakeholder concerns and
multiple points of view

• Strong interpersonal, presentation, leadership, and team-building skills.
• Use of independent judgment and creativity applied to resolution of workflow
issues.

Excellent internal and external negotiation skills.
• Experience in designing and executing quantitative and qualitative research
and reports effectively focusing on the desired audience.

• Effective oral and written communication skills, including use of compelling
visuals to effectively communicate challenging or technical concepts.

• Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
• Synthesize information, extract themes, and draw solid conclusions.
• Performance-driven, results-oriented, and self-motivated.
• Suggest innovative ideas to work smarter, more efficiently, and more
profitably and the ability to manage all out-sourced technology service
solutions.

• An expert in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• A bachelor's degree, and an advanced degree is a plus.
