There's no question that job searching gets harder after the age of 50.
Although age discrimination is illegal, that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
Many employers have pre-conceived notions about older workers. Among the
most common: Their salaries are high, their energy is low and they're not
up-to-date on the latest technologies

Tucker Mays, co-author of the book "Fired at 50: How to Overcome the
Greatest Executive Job Search Challenge." "Many are considered, by this age,
to be inflexible in their management style - that they're not going to be
able to adjust to, say, smaller companies if they're coming from a larger
company. Or if they've been with a company for a long period of time and are
now leaving, that they're just going to be doing things the way that one
company had trained them for all those years."
If you're over the age of 50, the key to a successful job search is not only
to disprove the negative stereotypes that exist, but to show employers the
benefits your extra years of experience can bring to the table.

Summary
The Analytics Director is responsible for analysis of company network events and marketing opportunities utilizing external data provided by packaged goods manufacturers and internal data (transactional and household level data managed by company for grocery and other retailers). Responsibilities:
Develop and execute world-class integrated and collaborative Shopper
Marketing Plans at key focus customers. Main focus will be on
developing cross portfolio solution events that leverage the power
of Firm These events should drive category growth, promote cross-
category conversion & be profitable for both Firm & their customers.
Responsible for all field based programs from start to finish
including annual planning, writing agency briefs, customer
presentations, overall agency guidance, creative reviews and program
evaluation.
Develop strong relationships w/key customer Marketing Departments
and Customer Teams to deliver against their brand/portfolio
objectives.
Holds routine status meetings and disseminates progress reports to
key personnel including Customer/Bs Develop Dirs, Bs Develop Mgrs,
Customer Bs Mgrs, Brand Building Dirs/Mgrs & the Integrated Dir of
Acct Services.
Regularly communicate between Shopper Mkting Field, Category teams &
agency partners to develop programs, share best practices, execute
post event analysis, & make recommendations for future program
development.
Maintains budget and timely flow of reports, project estimates,
contracts and invoices between internal and external partners.
Provide point-of-view on appropriate spending against retailer co-op
marketing initiatives.
Manage agency partners ensuring that they are delivering on
requirements outlined in briefs and effectively delivering on all
account management responsibilities (i.e. program & financial
management).
Primary responsibility will be Northeast Grocery customer.
Challenges - ensuring that the events are fully consumer/shopper centric programs that leverage the equity of the brands & also meet the objectives of the retailer. - quantifying the value of these programs to their customers, sales & mktg teams. Key concentration should be on: growing the category, category conversion & profitable growth for both the Firm & their customers.
Key Requirements
Undergraduate degree in Marketing, MBA a plus.
3 years exp in development of brand business objectives & marketing
strategies; 5-7 years exp in marketing.
Working expertise within consumer packaged goods industry, retail
channels and account specific marketing.
Understanding of promotional tactics, process flow, execution and
fulfillment processes.
Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
Working exp of syndicated data (i.e. Nielsen, Spectra). Exp in
digital mktg & consumer behavior in this space
Highly organized, able to multi task and communicate with numerous
touch points.
Shopper Marketing plan responsibility will support a budget to drive the Northeast businesses, inclusive of developing plans that are reflective of in-store, out-of-store and digital programming.
Interaction and relationship building will take place with Brand Building (approximately 100 people), Customer Development (approximately 30 people), Shopper Insights (2 people), Agency (6 people) and retailer merchandising and marketing teams.
Travel to 50% (no car)

Responsibilities:
General Tasks
·Â      Ongoing Ticket maintenance to ensure detailed information is recorded.
·Â      Participate in Continual Service Improvement through recommendations about current processes and practices.
·Â      Participate in Change Management meetings to provide feedback regarding Change related incidents.
·Â      Facilitates communication with clients, team members, suppliers, etc. to ensure the actions and changes which may affect them are known. Documents commitments and action items.
Incident Management
·Â      Coordinates and facilitates Incident resolution for application and system outages by engaging a variety of IT support teams while working closely with the Service Desk, Level 2 Support and Data Center Operations.
·Â      Adheres to escalation procedures defined by management to facilitate incident resolution in order to minimize duration of outages.
·Â      Assists with the identification of the resources to which the problem should be escalated. Conveys appropriate urgency and importance to identified personnel.
Problem Management
·Â      Facilitates and approves the results of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) done by Cross Functional Team. Includes the documented root cause or the decision that such a cause could not be found in addition to the documented preventative measures and workarounds.
·Â      Lead and participate in post mortem efforts for appropriate outages

Qualifications:
·Â      Off â"Hours support and Weekend on-call for System Outage/Incident Management is a job requirement.
·Â      Required to have excellent problem solving skills and ability to work in deadline driven and high pressure situations.
·Â      Strong interpersonal/influencing skills, including strong verbal, written communication skills, strong attention to detail, and excellent listening skills are required.Â
·Â      Minimum of 1-to-2 years of problem management experience in an enterprise environment preferred.
·Â      Understanding of Mainframe and Distributed Architecture from a Problem Solving standpoint
·Â      Understanding of and experience with Service Level agreements
·Â      Understanding of Network technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, etc.)
·Â      Experience with participating in Root Cause Analyses and Problem Trend Analyses
·Â      Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, HTML, Microsoft FrontPage and SQL Databases is a plus
·Â      2-to-3 years experience desired in Internet technology. Must have proven expertise in problem resolution techniques in a Windows, Unix/Linux and Mainframe operating environment.
·Â      Experience in one or more of the following: JCL, mainframe technology (TSO & CICS, DB2. zOS, or zVM), MS Exchange, Windows Server Technologies, Solaris, zLinux or Websphere on Windows/Mainframe are a plus
·Â      Working knowledge of CA ServiceDesk R12 or comparable ticket management system is a plus.
·Â      Working knowledge or experience with CMDB products or implementation of CMDB products is a plus.
·Â      Working experience or general knowledge of the ITIL framework and/or Lean Sigma is a plus. Â
