Student Financial Services - Coordinator
IONA COLLEGE, New Rochelle, NY
Overall Functions:
Under the
general direction of the Director of Financial Aid, the SFS Coordinator
works closely with the Director and the Student Financial Services
staff to develop a student-service centered office. The SFS Coordinator
works closely with the Loan Coordinator regarding the management of all
electronic and manual student loan processing, including all federal
and private loans. The Coordinator works closely with all Student
Financial Services staff to provide training and information to ensure
proper understanding and processing of federal and private programs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist Loan
Coordinator in managing and monitoring the entire electronic funds
transmittal loan process for all students, including the origination of
applications to Guarantors and transmittal of data and funds to Iona
student accounts. Works with IT staff to reengineer the EFT loan
program to increase efficiency and improve process. Reduces manual
check processing by increasing EFT lender participants.
Produces and monitors reports to ensure integrity of data and
funds transmittals. Produces correspondence to students in regards to
individual loan status and problems.
Responsible for the loan reconciliation which incorporates the
return of all loan funds to make sure we are in compliance with Federal
Regulations.
Tap Certifying Officer for the college. Monitor and manage the tap certification program in accordance with NYSHEC regulations.
As a member of the Student Financial Services team, participate in
the overall improvement and delivery of service to student and families
A strong commitment to providing the highest level of customer
service is a must. Strong organizational skills, the ability to
multi-task, work independently and problem solve are essential.
Knowledge of federal and state financial aid and Title IV
regulations, proficiency with automated financial aid systems,
preferably PeopleSoft. Excellent communication and interpersonal
skills.

A challenging and exciting Senior UNIX System Engineering position exists within the New York UNIX Engineering and Administration team . Qualifications
* Current hands-on experience with LoadRunner is mandatory.
* This is purely a performance testing positions, and no functional testing is required or expected. CPS or CPC or ASE in LoadRunner is desired, but years of dedicated experience to the art of performance testing are highly desirable.
* Strong experience in J2EE Web-based architecture is desired.

* 6+ years of expertise using LoadRunner in Load, Stress, Performance testing of J2EE (Weblogic),Oracle, Sybase, and Web Applications

Basic Function:
This role requires specific
skills in the Performance Engineering field. The successful candidate must have
detailed experience with Load Runner both in development and configuration.
Candidate must have recent hands on activity in light Systems Administrator role
and creating the foundation for data driven testing.
Defines, develops, maintains, and
executes QA performance testing for IT systems in accordance to project scope
and/or maintenance improvements. Ensures performance testing is complete
and performance risks and/or issues are identified prior to
implementation.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities:
· Extensive Load Runner development
· Heavy scripting knowledge
· Familiar with broad based development tools
· Knowledge with Performance Center
admin activities
· Worked with development on creating
"harness-type" framework
· Must possess ability to estimate LOE for
performance testing projects.
· Will handle baseline and comparison performance
tests from beginning to end, i.e. creation of plan, scripts, running of tests,
analyzing and presentation of results.
· Defines, develops and maintains performance
testing library
· Will use Excel and LoadRunner Analysis Tool for
reporting performance results
· Records and tracks defects uncovered during the
performance testing execution; drives defect towards resolution; proposes and
designs retest cases and data; contributes to the defect management: defect
status, root cause, daily triage meeting
· Reviews requirements and specifications for
potential performance risks/issues and provides input during requirements and
specification walkthroughs
· Participates in performance test planning, test
case design and test script walkthroughs with QA Leads, Developers, Project
Managers; understands testing to be accomplished and suggests changes for
efficiencies within or between projects; actively participates and contributes
to the QA Performance Test Design
· Adheres to established performance standards and
methodologies; utilizes performance tools and methodologies to improve individual
effectiveness and to increase efficiencies in the QA process
· Develops and executes SQL queries
· Develops and sustains appropriate relationship
with peers and other project team members
· Assists with the evaluation of Software Test and
Performance tools and contributes to the Test Tool Evaluation report
· Understanding of J2EE memory management a plus
· Measurement of WebLogic and related performance
metrics knowledge desired
· Oracle performance and metrics knowledge desired
· Experience with Unix shell scripting SED, AWK, PEARL, a plus.\
The candidate will be heavily involved in creating the
framework for "harness-based" performance testing. Extensive
development\scripting capability will be required to create "smart-scripts"
with re-usability and flexibility as a foundation. The successful candidate
will possess the ability to act and re-act quickly in changing conditions
Individual will have the analysis and configuration
capability to be the SA for the hardware and Performance Center
toolsets.
