Dear All,
St. Joseph the Worker Ministry is starting its second cycle of job search training workshops at St. John the Evangelist Church in Bergenfield, New Jersey. We have developed a series of 7 workshops that covers everything from "I just lost my job, what do I do next?" to networking, resume building, interviewing, etc.
It is focused on assisting those who are unemployed or underemployed and do not have outplacement assistance. We recently completed our first workshop series and were able to help 3 participants find work. Please note that we do not claim to be professionals. However, we do have a combined 100+ years of experience in legal, tax, marketing, academia, web ecommerce, IT, pharmaceuticals and power. All of the team members are at the manager level or above and a significant portion of the team has been unemployed themselves for some time. Hence we have a lot of information and experiences to share.
Our next cycle of workshops starts this Monday October 5th and runs every Monday through November 9th. All are welcome regardless of denomination or where you live. Although those with outplacement services may not find the program as informative, you are welcomed to join us to kick around ideas and network. Thank you and good hunting…..
Best Regards,
Ben Cabrera
