ACCOUNTING MANAGER'S PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The primary responsibility is to insure the accurate and timely reporting & processing of underwriting results:

Supervise and mentor 2 or 3 Staff and Senior Treaty Accountants and both hands on and managerial duties
for the following:
Processing treaty accounts for excess of loss and pro-rata contracts

Determining accuracy of the data in accounts

Contacting brokers in connection with discrepancies and in reference to overdue balances

Analyzing suspense on receivables and taking necessary corrective action

Ensuring premium adjustments, contingent commission adjustments, and monthly and quarterly statements are received on a timely basis, and that the information is accurate

Preparing check requisitions for disbursements relating to contracts processed

Requirements

requirements:
* At least two to five years of reinsurance accounting experience.

* Strong oral and written communication skills, planning and organizing, judgment, analysis and quantitative reasoning, client interaction, attention to detail.

* Strong computer skills including Excel and Word are necessary.
* CPA a plus

Requires Bachelor's Degree
CPA a plus
at least 2 + years Treaty or Reinsurance Accounting
