Position Responsibilities – Summary

The individual will be leading the system design and analysis for
development projects in the Reference Data Applications in the Investment
Data Systems team. In this role the individual will work with the project
managers, business analysts and lead programmers to define technical
solutions and roadmap for implementing business requirements in our
applications with a strong focus on scalability, quality and application
integration with the downstream consumers of pricing data. This person will
also be performing supervisory activities including budget management within
the team.

Key Responsibilities;

· Partner with Investment Data and Derivatives Services Business
team within the Investment Administration Group to proactively identify the
firms growing needs around pricing and analytics in order to develop long
term scalable solutions.

· Take a hands-on approach to functional architecture and technical
design to deliver business solutions.

· Work with the Reference Data consumer groups to understand their
requirements and help develop innovative solutions to address their data
needs.

· Provide input into system design to help the programming teams
define effort and implementation schedules for application development work.

· Ensure quality of product by enforcing high standards in testing
and building controls to measure the overall accuracy and timeliness of data
delivery.

· Develop a strong partnership with the delivery team to ensure on
time, scalable and high quality business solutions.

· Manage the overall budget of the team and help in planning and
budget estimations of various efforts.

· Provide team leadership on assigned projects that may include both
full time and consulting staff in a matrix organization.

Keys to This Position:

1. This is a Senior role that is a combination of Functional and Technical
with emphasis on the Functional.

2. The Domain (Functional) requirement: This candidate must have a strong
background in Investment Management with exposure to Back Office and Middle
Office Operations. This individual will be responsible for Reference Data
Applications that includes Pricing, Security Master, Analytics and
Derivative Operations. Any experience in these areas is a very strong plus.

3. Technical: The applications are written in Java (J2EE), PL/SQL and Data
Stage. Experience as an Analyst working with applications built with these
technologies is a big plus.

4. The candidate must have Excellent Communication and Client Relationship
skills. The individual will be interfacing directly with the business
(Investment Data and Derivatives Systems Operations).

Required Skills and Competencies:

· Strong understanding of Investment Data and Investment Management
industry, with specific domain expertise Reference Data – Security Master.

· Minimum 10 years experience as a systems analyst

· Minimum 5 years experience in Data Management

· Minimum of 5 years of Project Management experience is required.

· Experience in working with data providers such as Bloomberg, IDC,
Markit and Reuters.

· CFA certification is a plus.

· Experience in the design of n-tier applications and architectures.

· Experience with SOA architecture will be a huge plus.

· Team management experience and a proven ability to work in a cross
functional environment

· Experience in managing delivery in a centralized team with
aggressive delivery timelines is required.

· Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills.

Position Responsibilities - Summary
The Systems Engineer will contribute to the overall engineering, design,
build and provide high level support of all existing and new Windows Server
infrastructure. As a senior member of the team, the successful candidate
will need to work closely with our internal clients to develop consensus and
find solutions to problems facing their business constituents.

Detailed Responsibilities;

· Monitor windows environment for anomalies and errors, reporting
and escalation of issues.

· Provide the required daily support, maintenance, and management of
the platforms.

· Provide Level III support and repair, as well as escalation to the
Business Application Group and/or Operations.

· Manager enterprise applications responsible for server builds,
patch management, virtual machine management, virus scanning, etc.

· Develop and maintain high standards in establishing procedures and
policies to address routine jobs and certain resolution protocols.

· Meet or exceed SLA obligations consistently and on an ongoing
basis, allow for accurate metrics to measure response time, meet BCP
requirements for offsite access, and reduce the time needed to address
hardware/software failures.

Keys to This Position:

1. This candidate will be strong technically with ESX. In-depth Knowledge
of VMware architecture and hands on experience with V-motion, ESX Ranger and
other virtual management software. VMware and ESX are required. The most
recent version of ESX is 3.x

2. We are looking for a Windows Systems Engineer that has strong
troubleshooting and problem solving skills. We are presently using Windows
2003 server and will be migrating to Windows 2008. The candidate needs to
have 2003 server (2008 would be a plus).

3. The candidate should have experience working in a mission critical
environment. Financial Services is strongly preferred.

4. Experience handling an on call rotation (every 8 weeks) and
understanding how to handle crisis situations.

5. Ideally the candidate should come from an environment similar to client'
s (900 Windows Servers globally). The candidate should have minimally
managed 300 servers.

6. Strong Active Directory and Microsoft Clustering skills are a big plus.

Required Skills and Competencies:

· 5+ years of managing a Windows Server environment (Windows 2003
Server required)

· In-depth Knowledge of VMware architecture and hands on experience
with V-motion, ESX Ranger and other virtual management software

· Extensive experience with Microsoft Clustering

· Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve independently

· The ability to design and build an Active Directory infrastructure

· Hands on management of an Active Directory infrastructure

· Proficiency in DNS, DHCP and other naming services

· Server management with an emphasis on HP servers

· In-depth Knowledge of disk management with SAN, NAS and local
storage with an emphasis on disk layout and performance

· Strong systems engineering skills with an emphasis on enterprise
scale architecture

· LINUX skills are highly desired.

· Understanding of High Availability, Business Continuity, and
Disaster Recovery concepts as they relate to Open Systems architecture.

· Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with Information
Services professionals

· Excellent written and verbal communications skills

· Willingness to work in an energetic, fast-paced, and team-oriented
environment

· Ability to work independently and without constant supervision

· Ability to manage conflicting priorities effectively

· Ability and willingness to work effectively in a business-critical
production environment

· BS in Computer Science or related experience
