Position requirements: Experience multiple areas of infrastructure and operations.
The position of Sr. Network Engineer is a team leader who is responsible for:

Oversight of day to day technical operations
Define and implement service metrics, policies
Capacity planning / solution design
Datacenter / DR site management
Troubleshooting and design of local/ wide area networks, servers, and data storage technology

This candidate will work to ensure the secure and optimal performance of our network and server infrastructure. On call support including occasional after hours work is required.

Networking: Cisco CCNP certification, Local and Wide area networking experience with Cisco equipment, Network Security fundamentals, Firewalls and Security devices, Network protocols, thorough understanding of TCP/IP and core protocols (HTTP/S, FTP, DNS, etc), VPN Technology, Wireless Design & Security, Troubleshooting, QoS, Monitoring, and Analysis tools, Authentication Systems (ACS, etc), Redundancy, High Availability configurations, web traffic filtering tools.

Servers and operating systems: Experience with the design, optimization, and build of Windows 2003/08 server architectures. Ability to match application requirements to server hardware, configure monitoring and notification tools for all critical services and applications. Must have experience with, Active Directory, IIS, SQL server 2005/08, and server security. Configuration of redundant and High Availability techniques, using clustering and load balancing.
Familiarity with *nix operating systems a plus.

Storage: Experience with the management and architecture of SAN and NAS technology, including storage configuration of arrays, volumes, LUNs and Raid groups. Configuration of replication and snapshots. Use of snapshots to facilitate backups. Configuration of monitoring and notification tools for all critical services

Documentation & Operations:
Must have a strong ability to document system designs, and operational procedure in both written and Visio formats. Must have the ability to plan out and execute projects with timelines, durations and resources

CEO after having held the role as a volunteer since the organization's
