Position Responsibilities – Summary

The incumbent will play a critical role in the support and integration for
the mainframe infrastructure and vendor supplied software. He/she will work
closely with IT departments, divisional application development and the
end-user to assure successful software implementations and continued
effective use of installed computer resources. The incumbent will also
provide technical support and aid in problem determination and resolution.

Reports to the Manager of Operation System Services.

Required Skills and Competencies:

· Excellent project management skills, familiarity with ITIL and
Prince2 or similar project management methodology preferred – Strong
Technical Project Management skills, good style and presence coupled with
the ability to collaborate at all levels.
· Strong business acumen with an ability to communicate effectively
all levels within organization – Strong technical project management
· Proven managerial skills and experience, i.e.
hire/fire/coach/mentor
· Minimum 10 years experience as z/OS Systems Programmer
· Minimum 10 years experience with the internals of all MVS
components
· Minimum 10 years experience with Install, Customization, Testing
and Maintenance of z/OS
· Minimum 10 years experience with Hardware Configuration Definition
and Hardware Management Console
· Experienced with Assembler Language
· Experience with Back Up and Disaster Recovery
· Experience with Capacity Planning, Trending and Utilization,
System Monitoring and Performance preferred
Flexible, able to adapt to change effectively
· Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines while
managing multiple tasks
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to work independently and as a team player
· Retail experience preferred but not Mandatory

Position Responsibilities – Summary

The Systems Analyst, Disaster Recovery will provide leadership coordinating,
assessing, developing & communicating technical environment recovery and
contingency plans associated with the firm's Information Services area.

In conjunction with Business Continuity planning and Information Services,
the Sr. Analyst will develop and maintain business continuity/disaster
recovery strategies ensuring integration with business and client
requirements. This includes all aspects of Information Systems business
continuity, disaster recovery and incident response in a multi-site, global
environment.

The analyst will provide direction to Information Services business project
managers and interact with critical application support teams. Critical to
the role is the analysis and review of DR plans and practices to validate
recoverability.

Duties will include planning and coordinating exercises to test application
and systems recovery and the firm's ability to respond to a systems
interruption. The analyst will provide oversight and document the results of
tests and exercises and identify necessary enhancements to the Disaster
Recovery plans and procedures. Along with day-to-day responsibilities, the
analyst will have the opportunity to research, recommend, and develop new
program tools and look for opportunities to streamline or systemize
processes.

Detailed Responsibilities:

· Implement procedures to recover hardware, in-house and
third-party software, voice/data communications, and corporate data.
· Develop and coordinate system recovery exercises.
· Develop various site strategies as related to migrating workloads
during events impacting those locations (data centers and global offices).
· Adhere to department policies and procedures for documenting
business continuity plans, Business Impact Analysis, Risk Assessment, and
Crisis Management procedures.
· Participate in all aspects of Crisis Management including program
development, training and awareness and execution during events.
· Participate in industry-wide testing and point-to-point testing
with vendors and clients.
· Assist with disaster recovery information relevant to clients,
consultants, and regulators. Develop written materials and presentations for
use in RFP's, presentations, and responses to regulatory inquiries.
Required Skills and Competencies:
· Strong ability to write reports, make group presentations and
facilitate meetings.
· Experience with Unix and Windows servers, voice and data
networking, enterprise-class storage, and security
· Effectively operate as a liaison between business units,
technology groups, vendors, and telecommunication staff
· Ability to comprehend business requirements and communicate those
to technology staff to provide executable recovery solutions to the business
· Ability to deliver solutions using functional matrix management
· Knowledge of Government Standards/Publications for US Based
Financial Services Operations in the area of systems recovery/DR
· Global operations experience
· Ability to communicate and implement processes and standards.

Keys to this Position:
1. We are seeking a minimum of 3 years of Disaster Recovery experience.
2. The candidate will have a good overall Infrastructure background (Unix,
Windows, Voice and Data Networking, Storage, etc. The knowledge should be
at the level where the candidate can advise these groups on what is needed
from a Disaster Recovery perspective.
3. Financial Services or experience out of a large, complex, 24X7 Mission
Critical environment is required.
