Summary:

The ETF (Exchange Traded Funds) Business Systems Analyst functions as
liaison between technical and business user groups. The individual
interprets what the users need and translates those requirements into
detailed specifications supported by the company development methodology.
The individual identifies design and development options and communicates
the pros and cons of these to both business and technical audiences. The
Systems Business Analyst participates in all phases of the systems
development life cycle from project scoping, planning and requirements
definition to issues resolution, testing, training and implementation.

Detailed Responsibilities:

· Develop clear, concise methodology documents, which require
proficiency in interviewing skills, workflow analysis, dataflow diagramming,
screen design, etc.
· Review and assist with project workflows.
· Review business requirements documents for completeness, clarity,
assumptions, issues, etc.
· Facilitate the definition of functional requirements by working
with programmer analysts and users in prototyping and design sessions.
· Translate and present project concepts into effective visual
images that clarify design elements and issues for both business and
technical audiences.
· Ensure methodology is followed for project.
· Provide meaningful feedback in accordance with departmental
standards and guidelines.
· Maintain issue log; coordinate and support communications
surrounding both systems and user acceptance for assigned project(s).
· Identify and eliminate miscommunications between business and
technical project team members.

Required Skills and Competencies:

· Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Management Information
Systems, and/or equivalent work experience.
· Strong Business System's Analyst experience.
· 3 to 5 years financial services experience with ETF process and
workflow skills – Must Have.
· Basic knowledge of full life-cycle methodology of systems
development
· Exposure to project work and project planning, able to create
business systems documents.
· Ability to analyze current workflows and identify opportunities
for improvement.
· Ability to create presentations using software such as Microsoft
PowerPoint.
· Ability to use standard desktop tools effectively (Lotus Notes,
Microsoft Office).

Summary:

The Ops Project & Solutions Business Analyst Consultant will work as part of
a team to initiate, organize, drive, and complete projects or segments of
projects that address business goals and needs. The consultant gathers
requirements, analyzes data, researches issues, and develops solutions and
options for the project. S/he is results oriented and understands the impact
of the project on the organization as a whole. In addition, the consultant
may participate in the user acceptance testing, training, and implementation
of new and existing applications as defined in a project or product roll out
plan.

Detailed Responsibilities:

· Assist the Senior Consultant in identifying the scope of the
project.
· Identifies business goals and problems in isolated business units
and across the organization.
· Performs assessment of feasible solutions and the range of
problems they may solve.
· Assist in the preparation of a project plan as appropriate. This
will involve creation of a work breakdown structure, task assignments, and
deadlines.
· Write business requirements, create screen design illustrations,
and obtain user signoff on the requirements.
· Identify and interview key individuals to gather needed details
and direction to define business requirements.
· Track open items in organized fashion and understand the time
sensitivities of open issues.
· Communicate defects with Systems. Track delivery dates for defect
fixes and update production on status.
· Document new or revised procedures or workflows and communicate
them effectively to Operations /Client. Conduct Training when necessary
· Assist workshops and meetings to identify key issues,
requirements, and gaps.
· Plan meetings, prepare materials, and participate in meetings with
business and systems groups on project status.
· Recognize patterns in complex information and identify key issues.
· Identify gaps between production requirements and existing or
proposed information systems.
· Work with production areas to identify units for productivity
improvements in workflows and procedures.
· Work with production areas to identify areas of risk for errors
and omissions.
· Contribute ideas and solutions to management to enhance
deliverables

Required Skills and Competencies:

· Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
· Three to 5 years of related work experience in financial services
industry with consultative skills – Must Have
· Understanding of custody operations and fund accounting workflows
as well as an understanding of the key roles assumed by Custodians, Sub
Custodians, Securities Lending agents, central service depositories, and
other financial services providers and counterparties – Must Have
· Experience with project tools and techniques including business
case development, ROI scope and issues management – Must Have
· Experience in Business Analysis and testing methodologies and best
practices
· Project management experience
· Experience with different types of securities processing,
including fixed income, equity, cash and derivatives, as well as other
transaction processing and reporting, including expenses, capital stock,
etc.

· Specific expert knowledge in one or more of the following
functional areas a plus:

1. Corporate Actions
2. Financial Reporting
3. Tax Reporting
4. Income Processing
5. Security Reference
6. Pooling
7. EUSD/German Tax Reporting
8. Derivatives Processing
