Description:
This position requires an individual with 10-12 years of extensive relational and non-relational database experience. Current certification in Oracle 10G and above is highly desirable.
This is a hands-on position requiring both deep technical skills and team leadership, communication and change management skills. The individual will possess deep and broad technical expertise in database technology and must be able to mentor a team in completing technical work and providing leadership on complex technical issues. An extensive experience in database performance tuning including but not limited to query optimization. The candidate should be able to think through systems and work with various stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are fulfilled on schedule. Resource allocation and planning experience in managing both on-shore and off-shore resources is required. A PMP certification is a plus. The candidate must be able to demonstrate an ability to analyze business requirements and design and implement complex data integration solutions to support both operational and data warehouse systems. He/she must have
experience working as a DB architect / Lead on Data Architecture/Data Services development projects with teams comprised of DBAs, architects, developers, ETL specialists, etc.
The individual will collaborate with project management teams to define and provide estimations for data architecture and development tasks required for project deliverables. In addition, the candidate should possess experience with Agile development methodology, strong analytical skills and hands on experience with Oracle, Informatica and web services solutions. The individual should also have experience implementing various data integration strategies (e.g., hub and spoke, federation, replication, publish/subscribe, etc.) and worked in an environment where ETL, real-time messaging and event based solutions are part of the enterprise architecture.
Master Data Management experience is definitely a plus.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering is required, or in lieu, a demonstrated equivalence in work experience.
2. Oracle or equivalent Database certifications.
3. PMP certification a plus
4. Solid MS Project skills
5. Strong management skills, with 10+ years experience as a database development manager in a diversity of complex, multi-system, multi-site environments.
6. Strong experience with enterprise data architecture, data modeling and developing applications with complex queries and stored procedures using Oracle 9i , 10G and 11G.
7. Strong knowledge with ETL (Informatica) design, development, and implementation and experience implementing Informatica Web Services.
8. Database performance tuning experience including index analysis, transaction management, etc.
9. Strong analytical and project management skills across the full development, QA, and maintenance lifecycle.
10. Success managing in a matrix organization, with proven facilitation, network and team-building skills.
11. Hire, mentor, lead, and direct database software developers / administrators.
12. Manage the design, development, testing, and deployment of all database services.
13. Broad technology experience in database development, data integration, business intelligence, and web solutions.
14. Working knowledge of data warehousing technologies, design (Erwin) and methodologies.
15. Expertise in SQL loader, Unix shell scripts, Oracle CDC (Change Data Capture), database stored procedures, packages, views, tables, and triggers.
16. Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with audiences ranging from technical implementers to Senior Executives.
17. Ability to conduct effective business meetings with clear agendas.
18. Strong influence, negotiating and coaching skills.
19. Practical experience employing Agile development process and Agile methodologies.
20. Experience integrating Informatica with JMS and Web services a plus.
Experience with Cloud environments a plus.

March 12
In March we will explore The Role of Social Media in your career, with a look at

way we network, and the way we do business.
April 9
This session will explore Finding Meaning and Happiness in our work, whether it
is paid work, volunteer work, chores, research, a hobby etc.
May 14
In May, looking at "hot jobs" and emerging industry trends, we will address
Career Reinvention. Are you ready to change to adapt to new opportunities?
June 11
This session will be a Wrap Up of the first half of 2011, noting where things
stand in the economy, reviewing the importance of networking, and anticipating
the Summer months.
The doors open at 8:30 a.m. and we run until 12 noon.
