Job Title : VP of IT
Location: Nassau County Long Island
Duration: Full Time Permanent Position
Salary: Open for Negotiation

Position Details:

The Vice President, Information Officer will oversee the organization's
technological direction includes planning, implementing and maintaining
best practices for information technology that aligns with all corporate
functions. This individual will also evaluate the use of existing and
new technology to improve effectiveness, security and efficiency of the
business. Directing the information technology services includes
managing all information technology staff and recommending decisions on
service changes, purchases and related processes to ensure integrity and
security of the organization's information.

-Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and oral.

-Strong PC skills including the Microsoft Office Suite; primarily Excel,
PowerPoint and Word

-Ability to tackle a problem by using a logical, systematic, sequential
approach

-Ability to delegate responsibility and to work with others while
coaching them to develop their capabilities

-Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions

-Ability to adapt to change in the workplace

-Ability to properly maintain confidential or sensitive information in
accordance with prescribed Government regulations (i.e. ITAR/ FAR).

-Ability to identify the information needed to clarify a situation, seek
that information from appropriate sources, and use skillful questioning
to draw out the information

-Ability to demonstrate interest, skill, and success in getting groups
to learn to work together

-Ability to take responsibility for your own or the performance of those
reporting to you by setting clear goals and expectations, tracking
progress against the goals, ensuring feedback, and addressing
performance problems and issues promptly

-Ability to convey confidence in associate¿s ability to be
successful, especially at challenging new tasks; delegating significant
responsibility and authority; allowing associates freedom to decide how
they will accomplish
their goals and tasks

-Responsible for the development, review, and certification of all
back-up and disaster recovery procedures and plans.

-Identify emerging information technologies to be assimilated,
integrated, and introduced within the Company. To insure that the
Company is adequately safeguarded against emerging cyber-security
threats.

-Oversee ongoing improvements and the feasibility of system
enhancements.
Establish company infrastructure to support and guide individual
organizations in computing and information technology efforts.

-Supervisory responsibilities:

-Manages 3 subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 29 employees
in Systems and networks, Information Systems Operations, Application
Programming, and Telecommunications. Is responsible for the overall
direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units

-Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the
organization¿;s policies and applicable laws.
Additional responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training
employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising
performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints
and resolving problems.
Required Skills

-EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer
science or a related discipline, Master's degree in similar information
technology discipline or business, preferred.

-EXPERIENCE: 10 years of extensive information technology experience, as
well as 5 to 7 years managing staff, processes and policies.

-Experience with Oracle EBS application suite required.

-Solid operations, technical, and leadership background required.

-Experience within the Aerospace/Defense sector and/or electronics
manufacturing highly preferred.

-PMP Certification highly desired.

-Must have a background that would permit the U.S. Department of Defense
to issue a Secret clearance, which includes US citizenship. We are an

Lead Project Manager
Duration: 1 – 2 Years

My direct client has an immediate need for a Lead Project Manager

Key Responsibilities:

* Work closely with the CIO and Executive Director during the pre-spin and post-spin phases of a company separation
* Manage the inventory of system interdependencies that will be impacted by the spin
* Work with project teams, customers, other PMs, and management to prioritize requirements, provide status updates and develop and maintain project plans
* Assist with budgeting, change management and creation and distribution of all project documentation
* Ensure coordination of multiple project delivery dates against estimates to keep the projects on schedule and within budget and scope.
* Direct the tasks of project team members and model team leadership skills.

Qualifications, knowledge, experience, and skills:

Education, Certifications, and Licenses:


* BS in Computer Science, MIS, business, or equivalent education/training/experience
* PMP Certification (or equivalent) a plus

Experience/Skills:


* At least 5+ years of project leadership/management experience on high visibility projects with demonstrated success in delivering results on time and on budget.
* Advanced problem solving and analytical skills as demonstrated by ability to think creatively and develop unique solutions
* Demonstrated success as a leader/mentor to teams and other project managers.
* Experience with custom and third-party software implementations
* Experience with structured systems development and project management methodologies
* Experience with MS Project or similar project management tools
