Position: MIS Manager
Location: Qingdao, China- 2 year commitment requested
Summary:Overall management of MIS activities and in support of the company's business strategy, specifically in needs assessment, design, implementation and maintenance of management information systems
Primary Responsibilities:
· Manage the daily operations of the MIS team by planning and executing projects, establishing realistic estimates for timelines and costs to ensure that teams have appropriate product and technical specifications, direction, and resources to deliver products effectively and timely
· Support the company's business and functional units system's needs by assessing need, recommending solutions and providing project management and technical over-site of MIS projects. Ensure integration of company's business systems. Ensure systems are scalable, affordable, and meet business objectives.
· Serve as the technical and project lead in MIS related meetings, develop mutually beneficial partnerships within the departments/divisions and the company to address and meet organizational goals, utilizing a customer-focused approach
· Develop and retain the MIS team by providing effective leadership, recruiting, coaching, training, and performance evaluation to team members
· Manage contracts and projects with outside vendors and consultants to ensure key deliverable, timelines are met within budgeted parameters
· Establish annual MIS budget and follow up with the budget execution to ensure the budget is within control.
Key Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree
· 5+ years experience in information systems space
· Strong contract and vendor management experience is a must
· Experience in leading system integration and implementation projects in a growth environment
· Experience in budget management
· BPO experience preferred
· Excellent English verbal and written communication skills(writing samples requested) with ability to explain complex technical initiatives to non-technical managers
· Mandarin not required

· Develop and foster relationships with internal and external bodies (institutes, ANSAC, customers, sales managers, industry federations, consultants, Tata and Brunner Mond sources) that support the gathering of key market data for accurate feed to the marketing intelligence systems.
· Establish research and analytical market information sources that enable market sector analysis to be carried out.
· Carry out research projects into industries, sectors, applications and customers; compile and present findings to support product development and marketing strategy delivery.
· Produce periodic marketing intelligence reports (bi-weekly) to all marketing/sales and key senior managers, in order that they are kept abreast of key market developments.
· Support the Sales & Marketing team in the development of marketing strategies via Summary Reports produced via analysis of underlying business and market trends.
· Track macro economic trend factors which affect GCIP product sales, produce summary reports and ensure that GCIP's appropriate decision makers have the information.
· Monitor and evaluate (using best analysis models) competitor capability (cost structure, logistics, capacity, utilization, strategies and objectives) and produce quarterly reports detailing this information.
· Produce marketing communication materials, including presentations, for use by the Sales & Marketing team.
· Prepare analysis of customer and potential customer sales data to understand potential market trends, potential threats and/or opportunities.
· Extract sales data through databases and compile in specific industry classes for quarterly USGS reporting.
· Maintain North American soda ash market matrix.
Experience Required
· Bachelors degree in business, information systems, accounting/finance or mathematics. Masters Degree preferred.
· Three to five years relevant work experience required.
· Proficient in Excel and Powerpoint.
