Dear networking groups,

I thought I would forward this. It has been brought to my attention
that the government is providing grants to pay for executive training to
individuals who have been dislocated from financial companies. My
contact at the learning center informed me that there is a diverse range
of courses available. Please see below and feel free to forward on.

Hope this is helpful. Thank you.

*Subject:* Free Training - National Emergency Grant

The "National Emergency Grant" is a direct result of the current
economic stimulus program. It is a Federal program that is administered
by the State unemployment and Workforce offices. The grant is for a
maximum of $12,500. and requires that recipients were "dislocated" from
the approved list of companies AFTER May 31, 2008. To find a local
office I have been referring students to the Flushing office at 138-60
Barclay Ave, 718-321-6307. Once a student meets with a counselor, they
will be asked to get a letter of acceptance from New Horizons, then they
will bring a partially completed application to Phil Cincotta. Phil will
complete the New Horizons section and the student returns to his
counselor who signs off on it and sends it to the main NYS office in
Albany.

At this point, the grant is pretty much approved. All training must be
completed by December of 2010.

It is imperative that anyone interested move QUICKLY…the money will run out!

All questions concerning this program can be directed to Phil Cincotta,
