I'm working with a consulting firm who is looking for someone to lead the definition, build out and management of a strategic IT service offering. A small, but growing consulting firm in central NJ with a solid client base is seeking to expand its services in enterprise IT process and organization design. The practice will focus on helping companies design, shape, and optimize their IT strategies, processes, and organizations. Person will be expected to define/develop service offerings, assist in business development, and lead client engagements.
If you have experience in corporate roles managing the enterprise IT function and want to get into consulting <or> if you've been working in a large global consulting firm and want break away and build a practice at a smaller firm, then this opportunity will be of interest to you.
Specifically, looking for:
* Experience and thought leadership in enterprise IT effectiveness and business alignment, IT shared services design, collaboration and knowledge management.
* 10+ years experience in IT, including a broad understanding of the enterprise IT function, either through direct experience defining and managing IT in a senior-level corporate role, or as a trusted advisor with broad consulting experience.
* Experience with process redesign including knowledge of IT process domains, e.g. CMMI and/or ITIL.
* Experience managing client relationships with strong communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
