We currently have 2 contract to hire opportunities for Sr.
Project Managers at a major company in King of Prussia, PA. The Senior
Project Managers will lead project teams to deliver multiple, simultaneous
projects that span across several business or technology areas.
Candidates will be expected to effectively manage resources, schedule and quality
of deliverables through the full project life cycle (discovery, analysis,
design, construction, test and implementation.) The candidate will often
work in close coordination with the Online Business Manager (OBM) to
successfully manage and deliver web store products to new partners.
The Senior Project Managers will also be expected to contribute to the
development of a project management methodology and assist in the construction
of a formalized program office. This position will report to the Director
of Business Analysis.
Required Education/Experience:

methodologies. Ability to follow the Rational Unified Process (RUP) using
the Rational tool suite would be of benefit.
Relationship Management - Should have ability to motivate
and build collaborative teams who are dedicated to project delivery.
Candidate will work in collaboration with the online business manager (OBM)
when interfacing with external business partners, internal business area experts,
business analysts and software development teams. Will need to set
expectations among these groups regarding scope, timeline and quality of
deliverables. Will need to work effectively with all groups
to build work breakdown structures (WBS), develop project plans and update
project status.
Business Analysis - This includes leading business
analyst(s), on a per-project basis, in extracting requirements from external
stakeholders, internal business representatives, and software development
teams. The candidate will have significant influence and will ultimately
be responsible for the quality of requirement deliverables. Candidate
should have experience using UML, and building and interpreting use cases.
Resource Management - For each project, candidate assists in
identifying the skills and resources needed for each stage in the project
lifecycle. He or she provides resource requirements per project and
motivates and manages those resources over the project duration.

Summary:
Our direct, fortune 20 client sold off one division to another large
financial corporate. Hence, one of the Software Application system is not
available with our client anymore. Hence, there is vacuum between incoming
trade transactions and Pershing (Pershing does back office settlements for
them now). Our client is looking for designing business flow to fill in the
vacuum.

Requirement Details

* Ability to define current state, target state, and business to technology
strategy alignment and execution roadmaps.
* Ability to analyze business requirements and derive high-level
architecture diagrams and technical designs
* Knowledge of system architecture, application components, and design
patterns for user interface/presentation, business logic/middle layer,
middleware/messaging/integration services, database, and mainframe.
* Awareness of various technology spaces including SOA, Business Process
Management, Workflow, Data Warehousing, BI and Reporting, Web Architectures,
and common development tools.
* Ability to create solution guides for common technology, performance,
capacity problems.
* Infrastructure Topology and understanding of intranet, extranet, and
internet networks
* Knowledge of project management including requirements and scope
management, estimation, roles and responsibilities, risk management,
progress tracking and reporting, and project planning (financial industry
experience is preferable)

Good architects with integration expertise with Pershing will be big plus.

The  ideal candidate would be a Business Analyst working in an Information Technology department that has supported the Accounting/Finance divisions systems for a financial or insurance company.  
The ideal candidate would have expertise in adhering to BA best practices and will be experienced in the following.
 
 
-Documenting Business Requirements/Functional Requirements in a structured manner (ex: Use Cases) using appropriate technology tools and BA best practices. (RUP)
-Must be able to work closely with business users to identify their true technology needs
-Will have the ability to investigate current operational/technological flows to understand current state
-Ability to generate relevant documentation
- A solid Understanding and experience in working with Accounting operations processing ( G/L, A/R, A/P, Budgeting/Forecasting, Inv Accounting, Financial Reporting)
-Working in an Accounting Back Office or Supporting Accounting systems.  Reinsurance experience would be highly desirable
-Must have knowledge of vendor software packages used in the Accounting/Finance arena
-Familiarity with Insurance concepts (ex: claims, payments, underwriting policies, reinsurance) would be highly desirable
 
The candidate chosen for this position will have 5+ years as a Business Analyst.
•They will be fluent and familiar in technologies used in an Accounting/Reinsurance environment:
Must have familiarity with Financial Reporting Tools ( Ex: Cognos Business Intelligence, Crystal Reports, etc) would be helpful
•Demonstrated understanding of application & technology concepts including tiered architectures, application programming interfaces (APIs), databases, Web-based
•Working knowledge of MS-Office including Excel, Excel Macros and PivotTables.
•Must have experience in implementing and supporting third party vendor packages.  Includes implementation of bug fixes, software upgrades, interfaces.  Third party vendors that we deal with include Freedom, Cognos, Great Plains
•Must be capable of performing relevant technical/systems analysis (ex: software bugs, user enhancement request, etc)

- Prepare materials for internal and external audit activities. Review audit findings/reports for accuracy and completeness. If appropriate, may formulate rebuttal and/or corrective action steps.
- Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for projects, implementations, system fixes and enhancements, etc.
- May coach and mentor less experienced staff and/or assist in on-boarding of new staff.
- Distribute and follow-up on work assignments.

Job Description:

PMs that know the IT SDLC and have run projects =>$1M who have real hands on experience for budgeting/ forecasting, risk mitigation, issues tracking and PMO delivery.

Additionally they need to have Health care experience: not infrastructure work in the health care but real health care application/business savvy work.

This position is responsible for enterprise, cross-divisional projects with a high degree of complexity and medium to high risk. The PM-II obtains a clear understanding of the project scope and objectives and of team member roles and responsibilities and applies standard project management methodology, tools and practices to ensure successful outcomes of projects. The PM-II is also responsible for supervising and mentoring a PM-I that is assigned to their projects.

-Organize, manage and direct project team tasks and assures proper application of EPMO standards, tools and methodologies in project work.

-Delivers full project objectives on time and on budget as well as contributes to development of high-level business cases and post-implementation benefits estimates and recovery plans.
-Manages all project risk levels develop appropriate contingency plans and pro-actively identifies changes to eliminate future occurrences.
