This person will work closely with internal application groups to assess application demands and requirements for the Linux platform. Establish tools and analysis standards. Understanding of Linux kernel, things such as how the virtual memory sub- system works, vfs layer of kernel, NFS. I/O subsystems, device drivers (network, solid state disk, accelerator cards, RAID) Kernel scheduler tuning. Understanding of IRQ and IRQ affinity, processor sets Low latency vs. throughput tuning. Familiarity and experience with Infiniband system and layers. Server hardware and BIOS related tuning Interaction between hardware and software tunings.
Understanding of C programming and application design on an architecture level.
Use of SAR, iostat, vmstat in diagnosing general system problems and isolation of performance vectors.
Setup and Administered Linux test systems for Linux support teams globally
Develop application and systems test plans Responsible for troubleshooting installation integration and maintenance
EXPERIENCE:
Deep understanding of Linux and hardware design and architecture.
Must Script in Bash or other languages, and know low level programming.

Our client is incubating a start-up which will revolutionize the financial industry with state-of-the-art technology, a novel business model and innovative products. We are currently looking to recruit Creative Designers to join our growing team in Bermuda, who will lead the user interface design of our next generation online platform.

Qualifications:
- Outstanding academic record from a reputable university (preferably a 1st class/GPA 3.2+ or equivalent degree). A Masters or higher degree will be advantageous.
- >3 year industry experience in web user interface design, having experience in at least 1 complete software development life cycle
- Basic knowledge of software programming (e.g. C#, Java, JavaScript, VB.Net)
- Proficiency in the following: Web/graphics design (e.g. HTML, CSS, 2D/3D graphics/animation, typography)
- Rich Internet Application design (e.g. AJAX, Adobe Flash/Flex/AIR, MS Silverlight)

- Previous experience in a start-up environment would be a strong plus

Candidates should prepare a portfolio of previous work to be presented as part of the interview process.

Responsibilities:
- Design the visual aspect of all public facing contents (e.g. websites, correspondence)
- Create concept mock-ups to demo for senior management and form the basis of actual software development
- Author or manage external vendors in creation of graphical and interactive assets (e.g., photos, videos) for online presence
- Develop non-functional usability requirements (e.g., time to complete certain tasks)
- Participate in customer focus groups to understand interface usability, making changes as appropriate

The successful candidate will work closely with the IT systems group and will be responsible for meeting the chairman's short- and long-term technical needs. - on-site, off-site, and telephone support for all technology-related needs of the firm's chairman.
- installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of desktops, laptops, peripherals, and mobile devices. (Blackberry, video conferencing, etc.)
- management of desktop technology-related research projects.

Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and outstanding organizational and project management skills.
