Immediate need for a talented IT Project Manager with Systems experience that brings experience in the Financial Services Industry. This is a 7 month contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Pennington, NJ
Key Responsibilities:
- LOOKING FOR A STRONG PM WHO HAVE A SYSTEMS AND IT BACKGROUND. PRIOR FINANCIAL EXPERIENCE IS A HUGE PLUS MANAGING LARGE SCALE PROJECTS AND TEAMS
- Financial oversight, progress tracking, status reporting and overall coordination of Program Management activities. Will run meetings with multiple tech areas and business partners.
- Responsible for structuring a project, performing detailed planning, managing project execution and completion of moderate to large projects.
- Perform detailed `analysis` work behind the scenes to help enable a project or critical task to kick off and move forward.
- Define the phase deliverables, track milestones and project costs, schedule roles and resources, evaluate risks and recommend contingency plans.
- Assign resources and tasks, manage quality assurance, resolution of issues, status reviews and reporting, develop standards, change control, client support, and compliance with all policies and procedures.
- Responsible for planning, executing and tracking the rollout of a new platform, along with reporting on the status of the rollout. Responsible for helping to track and resolve issues associated to the rollout and ensure they are followed-through to closure.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
· Minimum of 10 years experience with expertise in managing all phases of systems development from concept through implementation and maintenance.
· Project Management Certification a plus.
· Additional Qualifications:
· Must have background as a systems analyst and eye for detail. This role will require a good amount of analysis, in addition to project management.
· Willingness to get into the details, in order to help kick off certain cumbersome projects
· must be able to multi-task
· must possess exceptional communication skills
· must be experienced in web development environment
· must have background as a consultant.
· must have experience in creating and presenting status briefings to senior management.
