COMPANY DESCRIPTION:
Our client is a group of experienced, analytical, and technical financial
professionals, building and operating sophisticated quantitative trading
strategies for domestic and international markets. The firm is successfully
managing over several billion dollars using highly automated trading
technologies.

ROLE: Business Development Strategist

Members of the Fund's Business Development team interact with a wide variety of
groups across the company. The team's goal is to improve business operations and
to identify, analyze and facilitate the launch of new business initiatives.
Typical duties include developing business plans, general research, data
gathering, market and business analysis, planning, project team management and
vendor negotiation.

The strategy and business development associate would work with management to
identify, scope and execute new business initiatives through their early launch
phases.

Candidates with a bachelor's degree in economics/business or a hard science,
quantitative or engineering program from a top university and 1-3 years
post-undergraduate work experience will be considered.

Key requirements for this role include: a strong work ethic; excellent (oral and
written) communication and presentation skills; and robust excel and modeling
skills. They are looking for a quick study with a trained problem solving
ability.

Desirable backgrounds could include: strategy consulting, investment banking, or
strategy/business development function within a financial services organization.

As some of you may know, I have been out of work for over a year with a break of two months. In this difficult climate, it's all about networking, so I am trying to reach out to as many people as possible. While not everyone is in the position to hire, you may know somebody who is looking for someone with my qualifications, or you may have heard about something that hasn't been published yet. I have over 15 years of technology experience that started with my BS in Management Information Systems followed by an MBA in Marketing in 2000. I have worked in Finance, Telecommunication, Internet Telephony and most recently in Hospital Billing Systems. I have managed projects with internationally based team members, managed a professional staff and was responsible for technical needs of a department of over 100.
