Due to the growth of the business, an immediate need exists for a Systems Integration Engineer to join their team in Bridgewater NJ.
In this job, the engineer will work with outside vendors to improve existing and develop new energy conversion technology. The engineer will work with those vendors to develop test and performance verification methods as an important part of vendor certification.
Additionally, this engineer will be making recommendations to other power systems engineers regarding possible product improvements and integration. This engineer will be responsible for product integration; ensuring that each product will be able to property integrate and interface with the others that are inline both before and after. Knowledge of power conversion, controls, forecasting, energy storage are essential.
Experience:
· Minimum 7 years work experience in power and control systems design and testing.
Strong knowledge of IGBTs
Experience at power levels over 500KW is strongly desired. Over 100KW is absolutely required.
Education:
· Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. MS degree is preferred.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
· Support systems design development, implementation, and qualification activities related to power and plant control systems for renewable energy power plants.
· Provide engineering analysis and system modeling support. (AC and DC systems, reliability, energy prediction)
· Specify and lead product and system design verification and validation testing processes and procedures that support development of AC systems, DC systems, solid-state and electro-mechanical systems, low and medium voltage power systems, protection systems, instrumentation and control hardware/software, digital and analog based systems, and wired and wireless data communication.
· Develop (internally or co-develop with outside partners) of intellectual property for related systems/technologie
· Work closely with EPC Engineering, Supply Chain, and Commissioning as well as O&M groups on transition of new products and systems into commercial project system design, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
· Remain current on "state of the art" advancements and related news for the various relevant technologies and appropriate technical skills.
